I saw a friend use those tiny moving heads in action. I was not impressed with the size or brightness of the beam. I would not get them personally.
Not trying to be funny but what size room was he using them in?

Small dance floor area of a local venue. They are useless without fog, I wouldn't even set them up without it.

I understand you but most places won't allow you to use a fog machine.

Not really .. I have a pair (had a pair, one died internally with a flash), but they got lots of positive comments. Not the brightest fixture, but they fit where the big bats don't.

Those lights were not made for a large room. They were designed for a small to medium sized room. Anything can break or stop working. It's all in how you take care of your gear. No you can't bang these lights all around and expect them to last. Even while transporting them. If I get a year or two out of them it will be worth what I paid for them.

They are ok for super small venues if properly DMX controlled as a plug and play he could have just thrown his $300 in the river and ended up with the same result give it two months they get broken or stolen and we'll get another story out of it
Where are the ones you bought and how do you like the ones you bought?

Used them a a few small bar gigs now they are mounted in ceiling of the rink and unless you look for them they are not bright enought to noticed

My friend was using four at his gig which is the absolute minimum for any kind of effect. Two Intimidator 255 IRC movers would give you a superior effect for $980 for the pair. Add the wireless remote for another twenty something dollars. You can do gyms with these movers yet they are small and lightweight.

Thanks and now can you buy them for me? LOL. Don't anybody give me that crap about spending money on either I didn't need or shouldn't have bought.

Try them out Mix and if you don't like them, just return them. That's the nice thing about buying from reputable dealers. If you don't like the way something performs, you simply return it. I did that with a pair of ADJ Inno Spot LED movers because the gobos just don't rotate slow slowly at their lowest setting. www.agiprodj.com took them back with no questions asked.

I went for a couple of the Chauvet Rogue R2 Spots. They are as bright and punchy as you ever need, and they have 2 gobo wheels which you can morph between, one of which spins, plus a nice prism, 2 color wheels, a frost, and automatic focus. Most of time I run then on 30% and it's plenty. Gorgeous colors. Their movement is also smooth and quick. I love them. The only downside is they are 45 lbs, which with my bad back requires a helper to hang them.

I have 2 Saturday gigs this month to do and will be using all 3 of those lights. I will see how much I like them and if I don't like them I will be selling them.

There is someone selling a pair of Chauvet 250 scanners. I just sent an email to see what his best price would be for the 2. For 1 he wants $120. What about the 2 for $200 your thoughts please?

Sorry I made a mistake. It's the American DJ scan 250 lights. What are your thoughts on those?
