I've been trying to make cards for a while now. A couple of guys on here tried to help me out but this is what someone else has designed for me. Please let me know what you guys and gals think. Ideas are welcomed.
Looks good man.
One question though. Does the general public know what VJ and KJ stand for? We know it because we're in the industry but do outsiders recognize those abbreviations?

I was thinking of doing that. How do you think I should word it exactly? Obviously I DJ & MC. I do photo montages. Music videos and karaoke. I do work with a photo/videographer also but not sure if I want to add that.

Overall...I love your card! Such a small card...looks busy...but yet fun! Very good!

I think you need to keep it simple:
DJ/MC are almost synonymous..perhaps along the bottom of the card:
DJ's, MC's, video/kareoke and leave the rest for the webpage.....

They can ask me and I can tell them what a VJ or a KJ is also. This way it gives me a chance to interact with them and talk to them instead of just taking the card and walking away. What do you think?
Take a color copy of your card and show it to people, strangers on the street, at the mall, in a club, but target potential clients, people in the demographic you are trying to reach. Ask them what their first impression is, does it appeal to them, ask them if the message/theme/design is clear, ask them what type of events they would consider you for based on the card, ask them if they would retain such a card, is it ledgeable, does it stand out for them, what type of business do they think it represents.
Research your target market, not your peers. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with asking for advice/feedback from other professionals, just don't base any marketing decision (and spend your money) solely on what we say.

A person that takes your business card will likely tuck it away for future review.
It should be clear, concise and not cluttered...
It looks so good, i wouldn't want to clutter it up with a lot of text....
The key is when they pull it out of their pocket 3 days later; you've got...like 5 seconds to grab them and make them read it and understand what you are about.....

I didn't want clutter on the card that is why I abbreviated. I am showing it around to get some ideas also. Some people tell me to have them put their hands up and others say its perfect the way it is. One person did ask me what a KJ was.

Those look great. That's almost the exact look I'm trying for with mine. Did you create them yourself, or did you hire a designer?

Thanks bro. I worked with the designer. I told him what I wanted and he did it. He did a great job although I did tell him to have the people put their hands up. I left him a message. I will post the new card up when I get it.
Any more thoughts?
