I typically DJ weddings in a black suit, white shirt and tie. It's a pretty classic look that blends in almost anywhere.

However, I haven't been loving my shoes lately. I typically just wear a set of black dress shoes. I already stand on a cushion mat. I'm considering getting a pair of all black sneakers that will be more comfortable on my feet all night. If I'm behind a table most of the night anyway, I find it unlikely that guests will notice.

What are you guys wearing?

My outfit is more casual (I don't do weddings) .. company polo shirt, dark pants and usually a dark brown loafer or boat shoes.

all black sneakers
Been doing the black sneaker for maybe three years. Helps the feet! Black suit or black dress pants.
I don't believe too many people pay much attention to my shoes being that they are all black?

I would not go to tennis shoes. Have you tried getting some memory foam inserts? I was having the same issue and it fixed my problem.

I wear a size 15 shoe, so it's fairly difficult to find an insert that would actually work. I think I'd have to custom order them.

For size 15 shoes, you probably need to get a couple of these and cut them in the shape of your shoes.emoji1.png...

No! you probably need to go skiing?

Style and comfort unfortunately don't go hand in hand. However, more expensive dress shoes over time do become more comfortable as the leather starts to wear, but if you're only using them on weekends, that can take time. As for the sole and overall support to your body and back... an insert might be the best advice. I can't stand the look of black sneakers or boxy shoes and would advise to stay away from that if you have style conscious clientele and work in more trendy/upscale environments. I'm def the wrong guy to ask about this though, as I wear what some consider to be the most uncomfortable shoes lol.

I don't look good in purple .. maybe a set in teal ...

My brother wears a 15 too and has issue with insoles. His are custom made. I may be an oddity but I always notice peoples shoes. In one of my classes on interviewing people, the said to always look at their shoes at some point during the interview. I have various insoles for my dress shoes. I wore a pair to Friday nights wedding without them, and I noticed big time.

I have had good luck with Nunn Bush over the years. Have never worn a pair like Bobcats .

ubber anti-fatigue mat behind my console

My mat was labeled a bakers mat. Works just the same.

My "actual" dress shoes are Allen Edmonds. I've got 3 pairs of them, and they're quite comfy. But I'm not willing to DJ in $300 shoes. I scuff them up badly over time. The pair I've been wearing are Ecco. I thought they had a reputation for making comfortable shoes, but it's probably the worst pair of dress shoes I've ever owned.

www.shoesforcrews.com.

I think I spent about $55 for a pair of heavy cushioned, slip resistant dress shoes from there on a 20% off discount.

Mine are about 3 years old now, and now my feet hurt pretty bad, so it's time to buy a new pair. However, the first 2 years The shoes felt very nice! I did try to put in some Sun Comfort Insoles from Wal Mart in the shoes, but it's a tight fit in there with the insoles. My feet also sweat much more with them in there, so I took them back out

Overall, the Shoes from Shoesforcrews are well built, durable, and last a long time in terms of the exterior. The pricing is also reasonable. I recommend.

My other shoes are Deer Parks I bought at Famous Footwear BACK IN 2009!!! ...I still have that pair...8 years later! I have insoles in there, and the shoes still look good enough as a back up pair of shoes.

....Any event that is OUTDOORS, like a tent wedding I will simply wear all black sneakers. I started doing that last year, and No one notices. I hated cleaning mud and dirt off of my dress shoes...especially the slip resistant ones because the mud will get CAKED in there, and it takes a long time to get the mud out.

Overall, I wear dress shoes only to wedding and holiday party events, so they only get worn maybe 45- 50 times a year? ...So that is why I can make a pair last a number of years before I need to replace them.
