It's been a long cold winter and it's time to blow the cobwebs out of the speakers....:sqwink:

We're doing a "barter" gig this Saturday (tomorrow.) We'll be providing music for the Illinois Florist Association's annual convention. We're trading our services in exchange for flowers from Rae @ True Colors Florist here in this area. Rae has been a big promoter of our business by referring us to anyone who will listen! :sqlaugh:

It will be good to fire up the EV's and to be able to do a little networking with the Florists in attendance.

Enjou your self and keep them dancing!

Way to cross vendor borders with excellent networking skills. you down home folk have a handle on things better than uppity city folk. Enjoy the day and what you love doing.

Knock em out of the park Kirby make them remember why they refer you :sqwink:

The big overlooked question:

What are the flowers for...?

For our booth(s) when we do Bridal shows.... Rae has already provided us with 1 arrangement for our last Bridal show that we did in Springfield and will be doing an arrangement for our next one in Carlinville coming up in a few weeks.

Then we'll have a few more "in the bank" so to speak, for future use. :)

Interesting...

I've been to a bridal show or two -- and I've never seen a DJ booth with flowers.

You've been talking to Rob a lot lately, eh...? :sqlaugh:

We try to "girly" our boot(s) up...plus Coreen gets to take the flower arrangements home after we're done and then we pretend that I bought them for her! :D

Yup, no that Rob is single we're trying to coax him over to the dark side.. :D

We're also going to put a couple of easels up with 2 16x20 prints and an extra monitor to run our slide show on......We might as well do a bit of promotion for the photo part of the business while we're at it...

We're gonna leave the banner at home though....:sqwink:

Here's a couple quick pics from tonight/last night. :D

Very small crowd stuck around for the dancing, but those who did had a good time.

Thanks Jon! :) It was a very positive experience for us. We were able to sit in on a seminar by one of the top florists in the nation and all I can say is Wow!

We too often dismiss the importance of the other vendors that work in the wedding industry and to gain some insight into their viewpoint was very enlightening.

Plus, we got fed pretty well too! :D
