So I was thinking it's time for me to start over. At the beginning of it all is business cards. I'd like to have two lines of discussion here -

1 - What should be on your business card? What message should it send? What have you found offers you the flexibility to target many types of affairs (weddings all the way to bars) with one promotional device? Or does it take a card per event persona?

2- Show off your card! Lets see what you have done, what you like about it and what you would have changed? How's it working?

Ok - guys - lets see it!

I have been designing, receiving and passing out business cards for years and it is my strong opinion that most people don't care. People that take close notice of something (in general) are often mutually vested in it on some level.

When someone "wants" your card, they already have an interest in you. A slick card can be impressive on some level, but it's not a deal maker or breaker. It's best not to over-think it.

I kept mine as plain and simple as possible
If someone is asking for one
they already know what I do and why they want one...
so I don't feel the need to use any "sales" tactics on the card.

also, I use them for DJ, voice work, event hosting, and whatever
