Was the 155.oo U.S the initial price or was that your landed cost including import duty?

Transceiver built-in or separate unit? I like the Freedom Par I have (only bought one to play with) since the antenna is internal. I don't do lighting enough to drop $300-$400 per for a bunch of them, but it would be nice.

What is the rated battery life? 8 hours @ full power?
I'm sure you will be testing to see if it lives up to it's claim.

So, I spent approx. 4 months making this decision. I investigated and talked with numerous guys who purchased direct and had great experiences. I actually had a rep that I was almost ready to pull the trigger on prior to finding this new source. I chose the new source for a few reasons. First, the new Rep was much easier to understand and her response time was extremely quick, even with the time difference. Two, they were willing to negotiate because I wanted to purchase 30 units. The first Rep would give me quotes, but it always come out to about $185 per light regardless. The light would be cheaper, but the case would be a different price or the shipping seemed out of balance. I just didn't get a good vibe, but she came highly recommended.

After I found this resource, I had several conversations with my Rep, Bonnie. Again, she was easy to understand. She gave me several guys for referral and I talked with them. Out of the 150 lights that they had purchased, only one had issues and it was replaced without question with a new one in his hands within 3 days. It was also through those conversations that I was able to figure out the same factory was making these as for the original Rep. Go figure. :)

So, do your own homework. Don't take the word of anyone else and those that will talk the 'fear going direct doom-n-gloom'. Be comfortable in your purchase.

The manual lists battery life as ALL LED on at 3 - 3.5 hours, 6 - 8 hours in auto running mode and up to 20 hours with a single color on. I'm currently doing a battery test on a single unit. I have it going with a slow fade. 4 hours in and I've still got all solid, green power lights. The manual is very well done and easily to read (minus a few spelling mistakes).

10pcs/lot 9*15W RGBAW LED Battery Wireless led Par Light+Flycase+transceiver

I offered a bid of $1500 first, they countered at $1600, I offered the $1550 and they accepted. I placed the order on 1/18, they were assembled that week and delivered to me on the 26th.

** They also have a RGBWA-UV, if that interests you as well.

Congrats on your purchase. I used to have a bunch of lights of that style - unfortunately, the batteries didn't last as long as they claimed and many of them were dying 4-5 hours into an event - the LEDs also flickered like crazy (and when I complained, they told me that was normal... go figure). I hope they've improved things in the past couple of years.

These lights have received RAVE reviews from the guys I talked with....real users that are doing four to five times the work than I do. My videographer friends LOVE the flicker-free as well.

Congrats on your purchase! Always be sure to check into the coast and availability of replacement batteries when buying battery powered fixtures. I just noticed that they claim a 22,000 mAh battery. My guess is that they are using an 8000 / 8800 mAh battery with those run times. You should pop the lid and take a look. Post a photo of the internals if you can.

Great advice...something I have received a few other times so it was certainly something I talked to my Rep about. She knew I'd be taking these apart to see what was 'under the hood' so to speak. I can get replacement batteries from her directly as well & I have her committed to a 2 year guarantee on the originals. Now, I do understand that she could disappear tomorrow and the next Rep might oppose that, but all this communication was thru the Ebay portal, so I might have a bit of a strong-hold edge there if need to push a bit on something. Who knows.

That's another thing, IMO, the upcharge on these lights is so huge and the fact that I'm purchasing direct, I can actually talk with someone that can negotiate some different terms. You try asking a big name mfg or rep to consider lowering their price to these levels..they can't, it's that simple. And, after having such an ordeal with a major supplier (that I've done several thousand dollars of business with) over a $79 replacement part in the past year, I'm taking it upon myself to look at other options when it comes to large purchases such as this. The ones that complain that they were delivered junk are the ones that didn't do their homework. :)

To add to your inquiry ... the antenna is in the little slot that you can slightly see on the side of the unit. The bracket actually protects it a bit in that you have to manipulate it somewhat if you want the antenna out. My plan is to see how well they do with the antenna left inside (protected). If I get some interference, I'm going to try adding a transceiver in the run somewhere first, basically adding a repeater within the setup.

Are you sure that will work? I've done multi-segment wireless DMX before and had to have each segment on its own, separate channel. Perhaps I'm not reading your post correctly.
