I'm in the market for a new set of speakers

Didn't watch it...but comparing a 12 to a 10? Seems sorta like apples and oranges doesn't it?

It's what I have available. I made the video simply for people looking at either speaker and doing research on youtube.

I did also do a video where I compared a Alto TS110A to the Yamaha DBR10!

it's useful in other ways - maybe I have one of them and want to understand how the other sounds.

I'm just never sure how well any of these shoot out vids of speakers work out- what I hear on my desktop is one thing, my one laptop has shit for speakers...everything sounds bad on it. Maybe i'm using a tablet. And then when it's been recorded and youtubed what sound quality are you left with? 96bit sound that's been compressed?

It's like trying to compare old TV pic with 4K video on an HD tv - you can't show how good 4k is no matter what you do and old res TV almost always looks bad on an HD screen.

Does anyone have in-person experience with the FBT X-Lite series?

good price..until a) they break and you rep hurts, b) their volume goes up and down and people think you're playing with the volume and c) you have to spend your time and money to replace what's in the cabinet.

strike 3...they're out!

I just ran across a real interesting review of the Alto 212's on Amazon that includes some photos of the inside -

https://www.amazon.com/review/R27B5...1801&store=musical-instruments#wasThisHelpful

Heatsink on the tweeter! He is wrong - there is air movement inside the cabinet from the woofer cone since it's a ported speaker - but that is a pretty small magnet.

RCF is horrible at warranty service! I don't trust them anymore

Can you elaborate on this a little more. Also the complaint about the go rack. What all do you have going on with dbx, and rcf? What model and what happen to your speaker?

I ran the GoRack and blow out my amp never had an issue with my RCF Evox5 I have 4 of them

The first GoRack completely failed on me the second one has a glitch popping sound I have not bothered with the 3 one I got

The amp literally went out 3 days after the warranty supposedly expired well the date of purchase is different than the day I actually received them and I have proof of the day I picked them up

It is now repaired on my own dime working perfect but I will never buy an RCF product again I buy new gear all the time so I'm getting rid of these asap have them up for sale already

I have heard similar stories of people who drive Ferraris a lot. Stuff breaks on them, and the repairs are very expensive when you actually put some hefty mileage on them.
You spend all that money on Italian, and find out it's not the "best built", or "longest lasting".

The longest lasting, virtually no issue products often can be the cheaper brands. I see plenty of OLD...OLD JBL and Yamaha Passive Speakers still in use today by bands and DJs etc. roaming around out there. I can't say I see anybody using old RCF or FBT Speakers...then again, I don't think the two brands had much market share back in the 80s/90s here in USA.

And I haven't seen anyone with RCF have issues, so it's not endemic to RCF. I've had my EVOX 8 for almost 2 years and have no issues.

Do you have the V1 or V2 of the Evox?
I'm wondering why they changed them after a shirt run and what exactly got changed

The v1 .. I bought one of the early units.

I own RCF speakers for over 8 years and never had a single issue. I only do about 40 events a year but they are well worth the money. Sound quality is phenomenal, quality components. That gorack toy did your speaker in. With internal processing built in, their is no need for external processing.

That's what I figured that thing destroyed my speaker :(
