I can see in a few months a separate drone forum may be needed as this is gonna blow up...
Only if they have audio drones ... might be convenient for remote setups .. fly it in, hover, and let it return back to the truck.

Playing audio would be different - could definitely play louder than the propeller noise.
Yep strap a sub and top to a drone and ... presto .. hovering speaker stack. Carvin makes a battery powered top and a sub .. maybe they can get in this game ... :)

This is theoretically possible already. There is footage of 2 RC helicopters lifting an adult female off the ground by several feet.

I actually bought one of these a few months ago, just to have something to play around with. Of course, my daughter took it over. I think it lasted for a couple of weeks before she destroyed it. It is pretty cool though. They have an iphone app that will let you live stream the camera from the quad. Video quality is so-so, but it's also not $1500.

I just bought one very similar for my daughter for Xmas but it was closer to $100 here. I figure it's a good starter if it crashes I'm not out a whole lot and if she likes it I can advance from there

Costco has a pretty awesome deal on a nice white one for $89.99...Regular price is like $149 on it. It looks feature packed too...Nicer camera and features compared to all the ones the stores carry in the $69 to $129 range by far. I might pick it up. I dunno how into flying a drone around I really would be though.

They are fun - I've never flown one through the FPV / glasses / camera. I have flown plenty without the FPV and I know people that do fly with the FPV. I've flown an ultralight scale rc through a camera - it takes some getting used to.

I am going to buy a drone, I am not sure what I want yet, I know I want to be able to shoot video, possibly be able to see what I am filming while flying, easy to learn flying is a must, parts availability from amazon or another quick shipping company is a must as I am in a small town with no hobby store anywhere near me. I have about a $1000 budget for this
I have both the DJI Spark and the DJI Phantom Pro 3. Both great drones. They’re also easy to fly due to gps. The Spark is great for taking quick photos or vids because setup is quick. The Phantom takes a more professional photo and 4K video. Spark with the controller around 699. There is a newer DJI called the Mavic Pro. 3 mile range, 4K video, compact. About 1300 bucks for the fly more package, which you’ll want regardless of which DJI drone you buy.
