Wow, that was a lot of work. Not sure if it was the sheer volume of editing and trying to tell a story with 2000 pictures or if it was because this was our first real, paid event (and we spent too much time in culling/editing). Either way, we finally managed to cut through edits on everything and ended up with 465 shots out of 2000 originally taken. We're using Adobe Lightroom 5 for editing. Wonderful tool and we've learned a ton of tricks including some "store bought" presets. I have to be honest, I'm not really into that hazy, gold-toned look but it appears to be all the rage with the brides these days. I'm thinking this is going to be an on-going and continual fight to try and balance the latest trends with quality, traditional portraits.

I'm using pass.us for hosting and online presentation. When you click the link below, it opens up the "Getting Ready" collection. There's also "The Ceremony" and "The Reception". Not sure if the navigation is very apparent to a first-time user so your thoughts are appreciated. Besides that, I'm feeling pretty good about the quality. Still have lots and lots to learn and next up is the creation of 3 Photobooks that are due under this contract. We're still shopping around for some pro-quality vendors in this area. Your thoughts are most appreciated.

These look far better than the pre-edit versions .. good color consistency. Kudos.

I'll be nice and constructive. An expensive Camera does not make one into a Photographer. These folks can. Go Here!

A little update. This was our first Photo+DJ+Lighting event. I received 1 10X10 photobook and 2 8X8 photobooks this weekend from ArtisanState.com, our final deliverable on the gig. The books are the best quality of anything I've seen and cost us $400 to produce. Now for the client, the bride manages a Sun Tan City near where I work so I decided to hand-deliver the books and a thumbdrive with her images on it. Can't tell you how puckered up my butt has been, worrying whether she was really pleased. When I sold them, she was going on faith that I would produce what I was saying I could. When I gave her the larger book package she said "I've been so excited to see this." so I told her "Well open it up." Followed her back to her office and from the first page it was all "I love it!" She later told me, "I don't really know what I was expecting but you guys did so much more. Thank you for all your hard work." This girl has been so hard to get a read on. Very non-emotional, even since the first meeting. As I turned to go she said "How about a hug?" Can't tell you what an incredible relief it is to get approval on our efforts. And a hug from this isn't too bad either.
