I can safely say that many of the businesses listed are no longer around. And NONE of the radio station information is still correct. Then again, this was dated from 1977.

I love seeing this stuff. There are a couple of local radio groups post the old top 40 surveys all the time. Rarely you ever see ratings from way back when it was all kept under lock and key here

Here's a couple of them recently posted. CKPE was country all week and light rock on the weekend in '86. They are now a greatest hits station

This one was from CJCB they were the biggest station in the Maritimes the morning show back then had 90,000 in a 110,000 market. The station is currently Country and this guy is the morning moron....With many less than 90,000 listeners LOL

I wasn’t in radio. But these ads are from our top local station back in the day. The station is still around, but they are not like they used to be.

Back when a station could decide what to play, they were the first in the US to play some music from a band in Canada that some said were trying too hard to sound like led zeppelin.

Rush proved those people wrong.
