Dude doesn't describe that image paper. Is it paper or some sort of wax or photo paper? Does he have to print the image in reverse and if so, how does one do that?
I had gobos made in the large TV scoop size and simply use them as templates for spray paint. It is faster and less costly than silk screening and does a fine job of attaching the exact logo and telephone number. I like it for identification and the benefit of easy lost & found response.
For smaller items and electronics - stickers do nicely. For cables, you can add custom imprinted shrink tubing at the ends, or slip a label under some clear shrink tubing.
