Absolutely neither. Tried them both. Awful razor drag after a couple of shaves. Dollar Shave Executive handle fell apart after three months.

No blade(s) have come close to matching the longevity, smoothness, and close shave the the Schick Hydro-5 system does. Do not waste your money or time.

And not that I'm a conspiracy theorist however it seemed that in both trials of DSC and Harry's, the trial blades we're Superior to what then followed in the mail.

Too bad Bose doesn't make a razor

I use the Gillette Fusion - of all the ones I have used, I like it the best. I have not tried Harry's, Dollar or Dorco.

Chuck (Papa Deuce) had recommended DORCO a few years back. I've been using them since. I do agree with Cap after a few shaves the DORCO blades do a pretty crappy job. But they're so cheap that even if they only last half as long as Gillette blades those blades still cost 3-4 times more.

Like Bobcat if I'm not up to anything special I don't bother shaving. I usually trim down with beard trimmers then shave. DORCO's 6 blade system with edge trimmer is my current favorite. It cleans up around my goatee nicely. For Christmas, I bought a buddy of mine and myself their new 7 blade system - mostly because it came in a cool tin case. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but the 6 blade system already gets easily clogged. The 7 blade setup has to be worse in that respect.

I killed off my goatee in anticipation of a sleep mask even though it's closely cropped I figure the less hair the less likely air leaks are. My face feels kinda naked though. If I keep the goatee off I'm going to try the 3 and 4 blade systems from DORCO it should clog less.

This is what I use, but I also dont grow facial hair like a normal person, I can go for longer periods without having to buy new blades.

I tried Dollar Shave Club and went back to the Bugatti of razors - the Gillette Fusion.

I'm open to trying Harry's, but the DSC razors just didn't do it for me. I liked their other products like the shave butter better than the razors themselves. But, I have found shaving cream I love more from The Grooming Lounge.

I am fine (and always have been fine since they came out like 12 years ago) with the Gillette Mach 3 system. For quite a while I had the Gillette Mach 3 "Turbo" with the battery in there, but it finally broke about a year ago. I can't find that any more. But I bought a new one, and I am satisfied with the end result of using that.

Dollar Shave Club is comparable to using Gemini Speakers with a subscription to get more Gemini Speakers to your door step as the ones you got last month wore out...

I make my razors last awhile though...I mean, I typically only shave on Saturdays (Gig Day) and Wednesdays. years ago, I use to shave 4 times a week...stopped that a few years back. I don't mind looking a little scruffy on Tuesdays and Fridays! :twocents:

KMart still sells a power version ... Kmart.com

I'm with Bobcat.
I let my beard grow.
I do use a disposable to trim up the neck,
but only need to replace it every few months.
Even when I shave the beard, I keep the goatee...
which doesn't create a whole lot more real estate to shave.
