I was at my mechanics shop getting 2 new tires for my van and I saw this on Judge Joe Brown. There was a couple on there that had a so called photographer come take pictures at their wedding. A lot of those pictures were an ugly mess. One pictures was clearly out of focus. Not all the pictures were totally bad. Some were fair. The couple was there in court because they didn't like the job this lady did taking pictures at their wedding.
I remember at one point the lady mentioned she used a Nikon camera to take the pictures. That doesn't matter if she or someone else doesn't know what they are doing. You can have the best camera in the world and still take horrible pictures. Someone else can take pictures with a simple point and shoot and can take better pictures if they know what they are doing.
It looked like to me this lady just shot some pictures and loaded them on to her computer and just simply printed them out to give to the couple. It didn't look like she went and used photo shop or some other software to enhance the quality of the pictures so they would look professional. Most were very poor quality. Now the sad part to this is they can't have a do over unless they plan on having another wedding again so they can get someone to take better pictures. (please no wise cracks about me taking pictures for the couple just because I have the Canon T3i) That's not my job. I'm getting better at it with this camera but I'm no pro.
So basically the pictures are of no good to them because for the most part they are terrible. I certainly wouldn't want to show my family and friends those pictures. Sorry I can't bring up the link to the show but trust me it was a hot mess.
So finally the judge decided in their favor and awarded them their $900.00 back and their court cost. Maybe they should have thought twice before booking a photographer to take pictures at their wedding for $900.00. I know that to be awfully cheap in booking a professional photographer to take pictures at a wedding. Now me I would have been ashamed of that one picture that was super badly out of focus! I would have never let anyone see that picture. I would have deleted that picture all together. Maybe that photographer didn't take enough pictures to delete that one. I don't know. All I know when the price is just too cheap like in this case, I would simply say no and keep looking.
