So i know many of you have recommended the cheap chinese uplights sold on ebay... but i had a question. Let's say i purchased 10 of these uplights and wanted to add them to my existing set up using the mydmx go.... How would i connect and in turn send the wireless dmx signal to the other wireless pars...

Let me explain... If i connect to one of the lights with a dmx wireless dongle such as the donner system... can it send that wireless information on to all the other lights without having to dongle each and every one of them?

My assumption is...one will be the master and the others slaves...but on my other par lights...i cant send a dmx signal to a light in master/slave mode... so i wanted to see how this works before purchasing

The Chinese uplight and the lights from www.rainbowlights.us all have the DMX wireless receiver built in. You program them with the flashing LED like many transmitters have so they sync up.

A single Donner (or similar) transmitter will connect to all 10 wireless uplights AND any other Donner receiver in the same band. You can also intermix a wireless uplight with cabled devices off it if needed.

These are the ones I have been looking at .. 6*18W RGBWAP 6 in 1 Wireless DMX IR Battery Power Wifi Led Par 1pc Free Shipping | eBay - (https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-18W-RGBWAP-6-in-1-Wireless-DMX-IR-Battery-Power-Wifi-Led-Par-1pc-Free-Shipping/262925998974?epid=16028310433&hash=item3d379c5b7e:g:YZgAAOSw4CFY5jda)

So just to clarify... they pick up on the donner signal? without any dongle? or does one light still need a dongle?

The wireless lights with wireless-DMX built in should pickup the Donner signal .. they have an antenna already (at least the one I linked to). They have a button on them to cycle through the 7 bands the Donner uses. I would clarify it with the seller, but most sell the exact same Donner type gear.

The reason I was interested in the one I linked, was in addition to Wireless-DMX, it also has WiFi control, so you can run an app that allows simple changes without setting up W-DMX.

They also have a version that looks like the Chauvet Freedom units .. 6*18W RGBWAUV Wireless IR Battery Power Wifi Led Par Light 1pc Free Shipping | eBay - (https://www.ebay.com/itm/6-18W-RGBWAUV-Wireless-IR-Battery-Power-Wifi-Led-Par-Light-1pc-Free-Shipping/264103150629?epid=20029962657&hash=item3d7dc64425:g:160AAOSwu4dcIm7A)

Chris, I use the 9X18 RGBAW+UV fixtures with a single Donner transmitter, no problems. I also have a fixture profile that works perfectly, although I'd have to look to tell you which one I'm using. The cheap chinese fixtures seem to be have fixed the standardization issues with DMX wireless. It just works.

question.....if the donners max out at 7 receivers per transmitter....does adding 10 of these connecting to that same transmitter effect it negatively?

Absolutely, as long as the uplights are wireless capable and are on the same wireless channel.

Where did you read about the 7 receiver limit? There are 7 frequency groups, but I haven't see a 7 receiver limit.

So, kind of off topic, but I blame CC for it!!! I have been waiting to sell my other house and was going to pick up some new gear. Was looking at uplights and want to have at least 10, preferably 12 at a minimum to start offering it. The 2 kits I was looking at were both 10 packs. a 9X15 RGBWA with charging case and a 6X18 RGBWAUV. Those Rockwedges CC posted got me looking farther into them. Could do 12 for about the price of 10. But they are listed as 3 LED RGBWAUV and doesn't list the wattage. Looking deeper, it says 3 watts per LED, but rated to handle 18, so longer life. If this 3 watts if just one color to show a longer battery life? And 18 watts if all 6 channels at 255? (links at what I am looking at for reference.....)
