Filling empty dates for December

I am really curious if I am the only one. Happens every year, the same Holiday Party dates get calls over and over for me it is the 14th and the 21st. I could have sold those dates at least 6 times over, while some Saturday nights are still open? I always try to push the open dates, never happens though. I have six holiday parties booked right now but it would be nice to fill up the calendar.

Are the hits on the same date over and over common for you also?


Anyone have a strategy to book the rest of the month?
 
I'm just now starting to get some calls, interest for the end of November and early December. I bill them as holiday parties, to try and get them between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I'm just the opposite, I want to leave those dates (the traditional last two weekends before Christmas) open for the parties Nancy & I attend every year...........
 
I get some of the same parties and the same dates around that time each year. Normally, to keep the biz going I charge slightly more for the same parties each year. However I'm part of a chain biz that gives me gigs basically any free dates that I have.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, my friend. Wolfie's been in the biz since '93... and we still have the whole month open, lol. :D
