I just ordered this system:

GTD Audio 2Ch UHF Handheld Wireless Microphone Mic System NEW 35H
I would like to say that I am the 500th order of this particular system on EBAY!:thumbsleft:

It seems everybody on here who ordered the GTD UHF system went for the one that was $169 or $179 with the ability to select channels.

I purchased this system because my NADY DKW-DUO system which I bought for $50 has been damaged enough over the last 2 years for me to give it to my son as a Toy to use. A microphone fell, and the bottom of the casing cracked. Then I was maneuvering the antennas, and one of the antennas broke on me. Both channels still work as I just tested it, but it's time to replace the system. Trying the GTD system this time around.

I will write a review on here of the system after I use it for the first time. I may even do a video report on YouTube!

I always like to have a inexpensive dual microphone set to use along with my Shure microphones.

I see you're splurging on that one ...

Yup. I increased my inexpensive microphone budget, and ended up splurging by spending 58% more this time around!

This is the cheapest UHF dual system I know of. I hope GTD lives up to the hype. It has 4 star reviews on Ebay.

I've had this mic for over a year and use it every weekend for weddings. I've never had any problems with it. I also have this one https://www.amazon.com/GTD-Audio-U-...TF8&qid=1474334162&sr=8-13&keywords=gtd+audio, and this one GTD Audio 2x800 Ch UHF Wireless Lavaliere Lapel Headset Microphone System 733HL and they all work well for me.

Ricky are you using a better mic system as your primary mic? Or will this gtd be it? I was just curious, because at weddings the lasting you want is a problem with the mic.

I actually set up and use my Shure PGX unit for wedding receptions. The PGX Unit get's used during speeches.

I also set up a cheaper dual mic system as well at every wedding. I have 3 wireless microphones ready to use all the time just in case. I have been using a cheap NADY DKW-DUO system until one of the mic cases cracked on Sunday, and one Antenna broke at the top of it. The NADY unit was a great bang for the buck, and worked fairly well for costing $50.

I also own a VocoPro UHF-3205 unit. It's also a dual channel unit, and has served me well over the past 9 years. I also own a Shure BLX Combo hand held/lav system that I use at ceremonies often. I also own a Dual lav Audio 2000S system. I also own a NADY dual LAV VHF Mic system that works "ok".

...I have a lot of mic systems.

This GTD unit for $79.99 will replace the NADY DKW-DUO system that recently became damaged enough for me to retire it, and replace it with something else.

I used my Voco Pro UHF for years as my main system at weddings, and before that I used a Voco Pro VHF dual unit back in the day. If this GTD system lives up to the reviews it has, I am sure it will do fine when needed at weddings.

My el-cheapo GTD 733 sounds better and has twice the range of my Sennheiser.

Some years back I went to GC and bought a Gem Sound dual cordless mic for $50. It was an emergency purchase. That junk has been in the garbage a few years back. You couldn't even give me one for free now. Congrats on your purchase and I hope you get plenty of use out of the GTD.

My Shure PGX doesn't sound that great either. It generally has a strong signal, and better track record with signal compared to cheaper mics, but the sound quality is very flat.

UPDATE: I already received the Microphone system from GTD. This is the cheapest UHF Mic system I can find, and so far the experience as been Great. I purchased. I received notification of shipment 5 minutes from paying on Ebay. Today it was at my Door by 1:00 p.m. Less than 24 hour turn around on shipping.

I am going to set it up and do a basic test in my basement tonight.

The Signal strength is STRONG with this one!

OK, so here is the breakdown on this GTD 35H Dual UHF Microphone system for $79.00 on Ebay:

PROS:
Shipping took less than 24 hours (For me living in same state as the retailer)
A 3 foot 1/4 inch Audio Cable was included
The Receiver box seems built pretty darn sturdy with a solid power switch
The screen is nice and bright
Signal is VERY CLEAR with no background noise (at least in my house).
Microphone casing is very similar to SHURE. Same type of Battery slots. The Mics have some weight to them, not cheap plastic like Gem Sound, Gemini, or NADY. The build of the microphones themselves are similar to much more expensive Microphone systems.

Cons:
The 12 Volte Power Adapter that came with the unit was Faulty. It wasn't powering the unit sufficiently to stay on, and the screen kept flickering. I couldn't get the unit to work - I had to use another 12 Volt Adapter I had laying around which is the same adapter to my Chauvet Obey 3 Light Controller. With the power supply change it works great.

The Microphones don't seem to catch voice from further than 6 to 7 inches from mouth. Not as Hot of a Mic as the Shures are. However, that is fine with me. That is about on par with the NADY DKW DUO mic voice sensitivity.

Overall, I am pretty impressed. The power supply malfunctioning sucks, and is probably not the norm, but 12 volt Power supplies are fairly common, and it's easily replaceable.

For $79.00 I think this system will do just fine for what I want to use it for. I will use it on Saturday at the wedding I am doing and report how well they did.

When you pay good money like $79 you don't expect to have any issues ..

I paid $480 for the Shure BLX Combo unit. Regular price is $599. Got it on the IDJNOW 20% off Cyber Monday sale last year. For a $600 system, it did not come with an audio cable to use. I have also had interference issues with it at gigs. For $79 on this GTD unit, if the system works well then I'm satisfied. I could email them to complain about the power supply it came with, and ask for a new one. It works well with the one I have though, and I don't use that Chauvet Obey 3 any more. If this system works for me well, and I can get 18 months or longer of use out of it for $79 then it certainly was worth the purchase. These mics seem to be built pretty sturdy so I have a feeling I can get way more than 18 months of use out of it.

I would email them about the power supply to let them know about the issue. Just because you had another power supply to use doesn't excuse them from not supplying you with the right power supply to begin with. When I buy something brand new I expect everything should be in good working order and all the parts should be there needed to get the job done. What if you were at a gig and didn't have a power supply to swap out, then what?

I believe the power supply is correct. Just that the unit that came in this box is malfunctioning. I will go ahead and email them about it, and see what they do.

I would do it just to be square on the warranty. If you use a third party power supply they may not honour the warranty

I've had one faulty power supply before. Replaced it and everything worked fine afterwards. BTW, I just received another 733 unit yesterday that I'll be using for a ceremony this weekend.

I wrote Microphones USA a message on Ebay. They responded in less than 30 minutes apologizing, and said they will mail me a new power cord.

So far my analysis is:

Cheap Microphone system
Works well
Durable made
Fast Customer Service
