just completed my 5th yr with an elementary school 300 +peeps including parents. Play what you normally play unless there is lots of parents. Otherwise some clean edits of your local radio is golden.

also play games!!! lots of them

Musical chairs... ask on the mic for any kids who want to play musical chairs to bring a chair for you to add to the line. This makes them help you with the work.

Survivor aka Four corners: Make big signs with numbers 1-4 and put each sign in 4 separate corners. (I actually use wide painter's tape and put big lines to represent the numbers I - II - III - IIII) Put numbers 1-4 written on small pieces of paper into a hat, bag, box or whatever you have for the drawing of the numbers. All the kids start in the middle of the room, when you say go they all go to whatever corner they want, you then draw a # out of hat, the kids at that corner are eliminated, kids return to center, repeat until only 1 kid is left. When there are 2 kids left they can't go to the same corner.

Mummy wrap: Get a big package of toilet paper 10 or 20 rolls. Get 3 or 4 teams, one person will be the mummy, the rest are wrappers (2 or maybe 3 wrappers per team). Give each wrapper 1 or 2 rolls of T.P. (even amnt. of rolls for each team) and when you say go the wrapper use the TP to run around the mummy, and wrap him/her up into their best mummy. At the end of 2, 4, or 6 roll of T.P. (whatever you have given each team) the other guests choose the winner by cheering for #1, #2, #3, etc. individually. "Who thinks mummy #1 is the best mummy?" Same for all mummies.

Try google for more Halloween themed kids games.

I play music like always. Edited of course but current pop music they listen to on the radio and on the net.
