I want to put together an MP3 CD of about 100 - 110 songs of awesome Christmas music. Can you list some of your favorites and the artist who made your favorite versions?

My all time favorite Christmas song is Merry Christmas, Baby! by Springsteen. That is followed closely by Feliz Navidad, by Jose Feliciano. Oh, and also Christmas in Hollis by Run DMC.

Jimmy Buffet, his "Christmas Island" album. Especially the song "Ho Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum"

There's also Twisted Sister's "A Very Twisted Christmas"

Staying away from all the old traditional ones, my favorites are Must Have Been Ol Santa Clause by Harry Connick Jr. and Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses.

Sixpence None The Richer does a haunting version of You're A Mean One Mr Grinch. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's Mr Heatmeister (in fact their whole Christmas album is pretty good), Jackson Five's Christmas Album

Be on the lookout at Amazon, they've offered free christmas music for download the past couple of years. Like 25 songs in 25 days. Some are great, some are different (Lady Gaga's Christmas Tree LOL), and some stinkers LOL but it's free and almost are always from popular artists.

I have that BBVD CD.... mostly pretty good. I also have a Christmas CD from Billy Idol, of all people.... it wouldn't be for everybody, but I like it. Like Gaga's. it is different, but not as different.
