Now's a good time to buy from Canada. Exchange rate is VERY favorable, and Canada Camera is a very good place to buy from. I bought a couple of things from them last fall and the exchange rate is much better now.

Most items come with a northern North American warranty (both US and Canada cards) but it might make sense to check anyway.

Who knew Canada could be useful? :)

The 100mm-400mm II lens I am looking at is $300 cheaper, so it depends on models I guess.

The 24-70 f2.8 comes in at $1680 after conversion .. $200 less than I paid for it.

It appears to me the prices are jacked up to make up for the exchange rage. A 6d package with 24-105 lens is showing $2300, which converts to $1800 U.S. money. That's the going rate for that same rig here.

BTW, the US price from an authorized dealer is $1999 for the 6d + 24-105 f/4 ... some dealers have the 24-105 f3.5-5.6 a few hundred lower. The Camera Canada combo with the f/4 lens plus a Canon Battery grip is $2399 or $1920 after conversion, from an authorized dealer.
