What Karaoke Software do you use and why. Pros and Cons about what you use please.
1.Which Karaoke Software does these features.
2.Store the Names of the Singers and their Songs For Future reference.
3.Able to place Customized Messages on the Screen during the Show.
4.Announce The Next Singer in queue.
5. Play an MP3 Song in between Karaoke Songs.

I use JustKaraoke 2 (by TriceraSoft) http://www.tricerasoft.com/karaoke_software/JustKaraoke2.html .

Does everything above except custom messages (they have a more complete product Swift that does that and more), but for less than $50, it is worth it. Does have customizable backgrounds/logos, and even has a built in remote request server (though you need to pony up $25 for the request tool/iPhone server). Stores singers, playlist, venue info, handles multiplex files (a big one for me as some of the discs I had were multiplex).

Does all of those things and much more. One feature I like is that you can put the mouse over the song playing and it will instantly show you all different versions of the same song....so when a singer says this isn't the version I like....you can quickly switch it to another....when you pick a different version...it fades out the wrong version and plays the right one.

keeps track of singers....their songs......breaks it up to shows if you'd like
 
I wish i could use OTS. Ots came out with karaoke ability 6 years ago, but its just a player...no singer info at all. It works great, but basically useless to me without singer abilities. They said they decided to release the partial version while they finish it. That was 6 years ago....and they are still working on it

Karma by Latshaw does all... of that and more....
 
If I was switching today, I might go the Karma route. I do like their KJ file manager and their song book maker is one of the best. If you bought both of those, there is a package including Karma for only $60 more.

LOL. The technical term for software and computer products that haven't been updated in 6 years is: "abandoned." ;)
 
Pardon my disc-based Luddite self, but another suggestion is CompuHost. A LOT of folks around me use it, and it does all that was requested quite well. I am under the understansing that it will even recognize LDs if one wishes to convert them. Just another suggestion, not endorsing over any other brand.
