Hey E, I thought I saw you and Lou at the hotel, but it was from a distance.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to catch up to you. :sqfrown:

Chuck, now we're in the same family (speakerwise, not hair). :sqeek:

I've only tasted asparagus once, very quickly..... I didn't take the time to really savour them, nor did I take the time to tweak them to make them taste better. I just didn't think they were for me after that first sample.

Don't get me started on Bose or Asparagus :sqlaugh:

Keith thanks for bringing this thread to those of us that couldn't make it this year. My original plan was to go but with new things on the horizion and the cheapest flight I could get being a little over 2K per person I just couldn't swing it this year

The words and pictures make the rest of us feel like we participated

Keith...

I think I remember seeing you as you walked by the telephone area. We were standing around conducting party bus business and I think you came out of the elevator. I think I ppointed in your direction but I could get nothing out of my mouth.

Next time I promise it will be different. Hopefully I will be smaller and be more energetic and get to meet everyone.

Ketih Thanks for the Hire report. Its truly always the best recap. That is why I started the other one but I have followed yours religiously. I wish I had been with the Dyna gang going to The Palms but I had to drive my friends from Toronto to the Airport aka David Beal and Adrian. I would have loved seeing the set ups there. Michael you owe me as I was one who asked several times about touring Dyna installs. LOL oh well I have my own nothing else matters!!Actually Mike you owe me nothing as I have the sounds courtesy of Dynacord baby!! Aint no dinosaur sound with Dynacord!!

Thanks to all of you for letting me indulge myself here.

Once I get settled back to reality, I will have more info/pictures to share. It's back to work at my FT job this a.m. :sqeek:

Jokerswild... Sorry for posting out of place...I try to see that it won't happen again. I said I don't DJ anymore and this is a DJ forum. I was invited by Ben to check it out, so I did and figured I would add my thoughts.

Just to clear things up though, The Bose L1 system that I was checking out in the store sounded ok up to moderate levels, but when pushed, the top 1/2 died...completely. They ended up sending it back to Bose because we couldn't get it working again. We have the L1 system with 2 Bose subs in the community center here in the town where I live, and i have used it several times, like I stated, it sounds ok for it's intended purpose.

And I have used a dynacord system quite a bit at moderate to loud levels (nothing extreme yet, till I buy more anyway, those Dynacord guys sure like to get my $$$ ) and never had a failure, and had nothing but compliments on the sound. Granted, moderate to loud is a personal opinion also. I know that Ben's idea of loud is quite different than mine.

However, even at low and moderate levels, the dynacord system is still giving you a very detailed and dynamic sounding performance. So, it's a very versatile setup, whether you need an intimate performance or a rockin system for a large crowd.

Have I given them a proper side by side testing? nope, and have no desire to do so (however, am I not afraid to either). Both systems have their place, and in the correct setting they will get the job done adequately.

And yea, everybody has an opinion, sorry you were offended because mine is different.

The End.

Thanks for the clarification... here's the thing if the Bose isn't setup properly it is only good for what you say... however properly setup I've done weddings up to 200 with just 1 L1 and 2 B1 with no lack of bass.. sure it's not the blow your mullet/stop your heart bass but rather bass that is for the ears to love.... and to make my point even better they have done very well for the "Hip-Hop" crowd... you know the ones with the bass rattleing car trunks...

That said I do know there are systems out there with much more bottom end that can be felt.. and those are ok to... but for the most part completely un-needed unless you are trying for a club sound.

CClark, welcome to our little corner of the net. I'm glad you stopped by and hope you can add your experience to the forums here. Any friend of Ben's is a friend of mine!

I have no problem with anyone posting their opinion on any part of what is contained in this 10 page log.

We can settle this whole shoot out just as soon as my system arrives. I'm sure there will be differing opinions about which may be the "best". These types of defensive debates will rage on even after it's over.

I have the best tools now for me to deliver a solid performance and I have witnessed the Bose L1 several times in person myself. I chose a different path, that's all. It will still be interesting to heat them side by side.

One tiny tidbit of information that was previously not disclosed;

The newest of Dynacord owners based their purchasing decision in the demo room - on a system that was hooked DIRECTLY to an IPOD!

Is that your way of saying you just went out and bought the new High School Musical 3 movie. And that you and Sarge are going to grab a big ole box of popcorn and make it movie night?:sqerr:

You people make this to damn easy for me.:sqcool:

Kat,
I've been telling Ben for two months now that I have a $500 credit on my NAMM card and NLFX is the only place I can spend it. I just don't know what I want to buy. Evidently you didn't get the memo?:sqcool:

Well why the heck didn't you say so!! Is there anything special that you are looking for a=or can I just pick out things that add up to $500 and send them your way and charge your card? Don't think I wouldn't :sqwink:

And what costume this time? :sqwink:[/QUOTE]

I won't be attending this show... besides this is an equipment show... the costume show is in 2 weeks back in Vegas :sqwink:

Hey, if you can verify that they are going FedEx Ground, I might try to intercept them when they arrive at the local FedEx Ground facility on Thursday morning...

Might give me a little bit of time before load-in begins @ 2:30pm.

Just need the tracking info. ;)

Nothing like the last minute, eh?

Thanks again.

Joe
