CD deck is stuttering and stammering. if I blow on it, it clears it up for a moment. Do you think it might just be dirty? Plus my jog wheels are really sticky and no idea why. Any suggestions on what to do with it?

Was it out in the cold, or stored in a cold place? There could be condensation forming on the lens. The jog wheels would also feel sluggish if the grease hasn't warmed up to room temperature just yet.
Sounds like you haven't cleaned the decks, contacts and pots for a while. Get a lens cleaning kit, contact cleaning spray and some canned air.
yes I keep it in a closet that is outside I haven't had anywhere else to put it. I will get these things when I can get back to town .
May I ask which unit do you have? Does the CD player scratch. If it doesn't then that's the cause of the stuttering. The Numark 25 didn't scratch and that's the sound you got when cueing up a song to mix.
Yeah I know right you need Calamine lotion for all the scratching! I have the Numark CDN-88 I went and bought the lens cleaner and the compressed air , just had had the chance to put them to use yet
That was the first CD player I had when I came back. That's a nice unit to me. It served me well till I switched to a pair of CDJ 800's. I switched because the CDN 88 didn't have an auto loop feature. You had to do it manually. I wasn't good at manually setting it. I other wise became great using that CD player.
the left deck was acting auto loopy. it's being weird. not sure if it's broken or needs to get crud cleaned out of it. It's a 2nd mortgage to get it looked at
