If I were you guys, I wouldn't be doing it as a competition, I would be doing it just to compare the systems and know what each is capable of, and what the best type of system to buy for specific needs are.

This is exactly the mind set I'm going into this with... I know that the other systems will blow me away SPL wise... and thump wise... but then I didn't go Bose for a club sound... so I don't need thump... I can certainly add thump if I feel I really need it by simply adding a standard Sub to the mix...

I personally like the warmth of music that can be heard not the chest pounding club thump...

Still I know there is a market for club thump. And if the Dynacords actually can deliver that in a small package I'd like to experience it for myself.

This brings up an excellenty point. I would like a list of songs people recommend would be good for the sound comparison from all the Genres. I want songs that have the full spectrum of instruments and span the frequencies.

Funny enough, non of the ones in my mind have anything to do with a club sound. I'm a wedding DJ and that's why I bought the system I did. :sqbiggrin:

I think it will be either June 1,2 or 3.... so I've sent Keith a PM to see if either of those work for the venue... I know for me the 3rd is best due to busness at the hotel being higher on a mon and tue over what we see on a Wed.... the first two days are crucial for us to sell walk-ins on.... and I'm just that good.
 
Well it looks like we have a green light for June 3rd.

We will be at the afore mentioned venue at the top of this thread. The show starts at 1ish and will run until we are done BS'n or they throw us out which ever comes first.... and of course listening to the sound systems.

Anyone who was wanting to participate please PM me so arrangements can be made and so information on what is needed from you can be shared.

Those that just want to come PM me saying "Hey I just want to come bullsh_t"

This way we can put together a proper guest list and particapant list.... keep in mind that this is not a competition but more or less a listening party... we're all friends so let's keep it on those terms please... hope to see ya's there!
 
I wish I could come. Sounds like a lot of fun. I would love to hear the dynacords and meet lots of people.

As far as the fiasco in Chicago, it all comes down to someone having an agenda. Some people go to these things to learn about things they don't know. Others go to try to hammer home a point they already believe and don't want the facts to get in their way.

I have never heard the dynacords, but numerous people from this board that I have a lot of respect for say they are great speakers, so I am pretty confident in saying I believe they are great speakers and worth a try....just like I felt when I heard great things about the Bose L1s and decided to give them a try to see if they were a fit for what I needed.

As soon as possible... we still have a little over a month but for the sake of tables and chairs I'd say... and Keith jump in here if I'm wrong... we'd probably have to set a deadline of 2 weeks prior.

Also anyone needing a room for the night (that is coming for this event or participating only) I can get you one at the Holiday Inn Express in Elkhart at Exit 92 for $75 or at the new Microtel for $62 just PM me your booking information including credit card as a guarantee is required..... I'm doing this on the sligh so mums the word mm'kay.
