After going the 1150 miles to Mom and Dad's, Indiana is practically within walking distance.
Ok if Indiana then where?
Indy was suggested at one point and for Me, Keith and Randy that's a 3 hour trip but what about you'ins over there in IL?

Around 5 hours....no problem for us.
Those of you that live in Indiana should be able to come up with some excellent locations, since it is in your backyards.

As soon as we have a location I may be able to squeeze out two Employee Rate rooms if anyone aside from me would be spending the night.
I'll check the brochures here at the hotel... and see if I can come up with any bright ideas....

I'm personally not looking for any sort of 'conference type' atmosphere.
Maybe somewhere that might have a variety of activities -- Rob mentions bowling, sound like fun to me -- or somewhere we could lounge, have a few drinks and just mingle and talk some shop if we want. A steak house or BBQ joint close by would be great.
I would say a good place would have to have, good food, good drinks.... I don't know if any of you's smokes but, smoke free would be ok with me.
Maybe even some sort of entertainment..... since the wives and ex's will be there that might leave out strip clubs as a choice.
