I just picked up the "EZ Controller" for the Mini Legend......$29 plus $7 shipping.
Making my total Light Show expenditures $800 (a "tie" for the most I've spent EVER on lighting gear).
FYI: My first investment in lites (in 1990) consisted of 2 NSI dimmer packs (5500 & 4500), 8 metal par 38 cans, Ultimate Support tripods & t-bars, clamps, mirror ball, and pin spots, for a price of $800. (bought them brand new from a DJ who was going out of business)
My next big plunge came in 2002, when I purchased two "Vertipro DMX" and two "Alphamoon DMX" and two "ADJ Cluster" centerpieces, for a grand total of $600 & change. (taking advantage of closeout sales at pssl)
Over the years, I've bought a Barrel Ray ($99), and a mirror ball package (still in its box), and a couple of foggers on sale (but I never use them). The diversitronics strobes were nice, until I found out they trigger "seizures" in epileptic patients.
To me, lighting isn't a big deal....the actual number of gigs that use lighting is quite low, in my area.
However, I want to "keep up with the joneses" and now my lite show will be at a level that's better than 80% of the other DJs out there.
