Tim,
Best of luck!!

Would you mind sharing some factors in the decision?

If you'd rather keep them private, I certainly understand.

Tim. The new look is great. Love the website. Nice Job.

Ladies and Gentlemen!

Good morning! We are proud to announce that after 10 years of being with a national franchise AMS Entertainment, I have parted ways with them. It was entirely MY decision. We are back on our own with a brand new name and web site!

Capital Disc Jockeys, www.capitaldiscjockeys.com

Thank you!

Look good! Good luck with your venture.:triwink:

Hey Rick!

That's a good name. Can you come up with a good one for me?

Best of luck with the new venture.

Thank you very much. The name coincidetally came to me at 2:30 am...Our 10 month old girl has just started teething and was crying and carrying on, etc...My wife is a school teacher and she had to be up at 5 am. So I got up and did what I had to do.

After Lily settled, I couldn't sleep, so I made my usual pot of Coffee and started thinking...I do my best thinking in the am hours.

I wanted a name people would remember. My wife didn't want our former name "Party Tyme Productions" = which we still legally own (For Sale!! ;)

So I started to think of where we live, etc...Capital wouldn't leave my mind. We lived in the Capital Region. Upon further research, I came up with Capital Disc Jockeys.

I say coincidetally, because I was born at 2:30 AM....I'm just sayin' ;)

Thank you again.

Now you just have to get Dan to change your user name.

Congratulations, and smart move. There's an AMS franchisee in my area, and for the life of me I've never figured out what made the franchise route so attractive to him (let's face it, anyone can start a DJ business pretty simply). Now that you're out of the franchise game, care to share what made you sign on with them in the first place?

Hey Brendan...

Thanks B. That AMS belongs to Dave Santos, a great guy to network with. I can't speak for Dave, but he's told me he's right behind me.

I signed with AMS in 2000. Back then there were 42 AMS Franchises. There are 6 left. I was looking for them to help my business get to the level I wanted. I'm not here to bash them by any means. And I won't go in detail here. I'll PM you.

But several factors went in my decision, it was time.
