I think another great product from Denon!Denon makes realy work horses. Before i turn digital years ago i had an old double Cd Player Denon Mk2-2000 and newer let me down.

ya price is my question to, im figuring probably about 900-1000 us on the street/vendor discounts....based on what the hd2500 costs....hopping less tho cuz i really want one now!!

I think the only this is missing is the spot to put CD?
It would be a great backup option if anything happened to you computer/laptop

Silvio - can ypu control the 4500 dual cd transport with this?

Here's another...i run this with all my music on the internal drive..i have my laptop (a back up) running denon music manager which I'm using to load my players, search the internal drive...etc.....

Meanwhile I have VDJ minimized pulling it's library from the internal lappy drive or an xternal.. I'm not using the Denon as a midi controller..using the lappy's keyboard and mouse and an xternal usb or expresscard soundcard.

the lappy beside giving me the interface I want with the Denon is actually a back up as well...

is this do-able....

If so...i want one of these.....

long cable?

Let me try to explain......While I love the concept, I want to be able to see my library and be able to simply load a track into the deck, as I do now with VDJ.

Earlier you said that you can use Music Manager to browse the internal drive's library (Denon) and load tracks to the Denon......

I'm looking for back up....the same laptop I have hooked up to the Denon. I don't want to have to bring a second laptop

I want to have VDJ running, sourcing files from the laptop hard drive or xternal hooked to the laptop. The laptop will have a usb or xpresscard sound card (not the Denon)to handle sound out from VDJ.

So i have 2 "decks from the denon from it's RCA outs to input 1 and two on my mixer and the laptop through it's soundcard to 3 and 4....

Yes, by when using the Music Manager with such drives, those drives become off-line to the player. So you could not find your tracks by the Music Manager and load them to the HS5500 player (if I understood you right)

Ok

You guys should do something about the display screen, it looks dated.

Its primary job is to display useful information such as file names and time data, that doesn’t require flashy color. Color is no problem for us, just means higher price for you.

CD capability would be nice

We will make an announcement on JAN 17 regarding our position on this matter.
