I have a major, major dust issue.

I bought some cheap shower liners hoping that this would be enough to keep the layer of dust off...well...ummmmm..not so much.

What are some of the tricks I can use to seal my trailer?

Either that...or I need to make some cases for the global trussing...and some other miscellaneous things.

I really need to fix this dust issue...ASAP

I only live 3/4 mile down a gravel road from the tar...and um yea...that 3/4 mile is vicious!

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Drive real slow!

Yea...its that fine dust! Doesnt seem to work well.

This road has been highly used by one of our local gravel truck companies, and they run nonstop from like 5:30am-8pm at night with the trucks..and it seems like they have left us with all that *achoo* dust! :sqmad:

This road was sposed to be tarred what...14 years ago...but yea....

Would a roll of weather stripping work on the inside of the door? http://www.google.com/products?q=weather+stripping+&aq=f

Other than that my idea would be bathroom caulk or foam sealant for cracks something like this: Amazon.com: Dow Chemical Co. 157901 Great Stuff Insulating Foam Sealant for Gaps & Cracks: Home Improvement@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/317S9G6V6WL.@@AMEPARAM@@317S9G6V6WL for areas other than doors.

I'm no construction guy but it seems like the insulating sealant and weather stripping would be your best bet.

I'm thinking the weather stripping on the inside of the door around the whole thing as a dust barrier. The hard part is going to be the floor in front of the door as moving in and out will tear up the stripping. One of the more experienced folks can come up with an idea for that.

The foam sealant or even a silicone bathroom sealer (though foam would probably be better in your climate) around any cracks that can be sealed to keep dust from creeping in.

I'm trying to find a the stuff my mechanic used to seal a crack in my sunroof that leaked water. It was black, had a tar like consistency, and worked great.

Edit: This looks like the stuff http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/m...ants-Adhesives-nextag&infoParam.campaignId=WI . It may be overkill but I suppose everything should be water tight anyhow. ;)

the problem is you can't fix it until you know where it's coming from.
and the only solution is YOU with a flashlight
inside the trailer with the door closed
while someone is driving the trailer down your dirt road.

and if you decide to take that route
I wanna video blog!

LOL...not sure where the gig report fits in? It can be moved to wherever it is sposed to be. LOL

Perhaps it could have been posted in the right place originally... Just a thought :sqlaugh:
