Our own Papa D. was kind enough to offer me the job of restoring a photo for him. A large photo from 1941 of his wife's grandparents (I believe). He's going to have it reprinted as a gift.

The original was torn and faded and had some sort of splatter on the right side.
It was too large for the scanner and had to be done in sections. It came out pretty good and was a lot of fun to work on. It about 4 hours.

It may be a good upsell for the biz. Thanks Chuck!

very, Very, VEry, VERy, VERY KEWL!!!!!

Actually the picture is of my wife's favorite aunt and uncle. I don't know why, but this photo seems to mean a whole lot to her. She has had it for many years and kept saying that she wanted to have it restored. My wife turns 50 on Sunday, and this is one of her presents. I have the digital file and will now have a clean copy to make a nice photo for her.

As always, Hank's my guy.

love it Hank

there you have a new upsell that you never thought to do

if you want to try another old pic I can send you the photo
either snail mail or scans

a pic of my 2x aunties (both past away now)
mum would love to get it restored but never trusted anyone to attempt it!

I got the digital file, and it was / is great! Then I took it to Walgreen's to have them print it out, and they pretty much chopped the guy's head off while leaving everything at the bottom of the photo. I had it made into 8x10 glossy for $3 just to see the image. Now I will have it made into an 11 x 14 ( or whatever the next larger size is ) and have it done in matte finish. My wife did love it and plans to get copies for several family members. This time I will use a real photo company to do the job. I guess I got what I paid for from Walgreen's.
