I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but this was the first event we've run doing strictly the Photobook format. I cranked up the resolution, which makes the final print much better. The other thing I like about this is it lets me do post-processing, cropping and red-eye reduction, which makes the final product miles better. Losing the signature was bugging me so in answer I had the guests write their well-wishes on the back of an index card, which I then scanned and loaded as pics directly into the Photobook. I also added a dry-erase board so they could also put their well-wishes in the actual shot with them. I printed this at Walgreens and admit I let the autofill feature plug the pics in although their software apparently is smart enough to figure out how to group many of the shots (groups of 3) together. It ended up bunching the signatures on the last couple of pages though. Next book I'll probably do some file re-naming to make sure the signatures get dispersed throughout the book more evenly. While you can't really tell it from these cellphone camera shots, the final product is miles more polished than the little strips in a traditional photo album. I'm excited about the possibilities this opens up and wanted to share. Comments welcome.
