Ok, We have DJ Intelligence and now DJ Event Planner. It seems like I'm importing all of my client's information twice. Is there a need to do this?

I would like one to have my contracts and all of my clients info, venue, date, time, etc..etc...

DJI doesn't provide the contract part, I'm ok with that. But it seems that DJEP does provide it all?

Or am I crazy???

Don't know. I use GIGBUILDER. It incorporates everything , including P&L and accounting info. It's free with a Silver or Gold listing on their site.

Gives me everything that DJI and DJEP does.

Tim,

What do you like about DJ Intelligence? I'm guessing the online client tools. Date Checker, Online Songlist, Planner, etc.

Well, DJEP, starts as a client management tool. So you can contact clients via email, make/send contracts, and keeps all that information (a footprint) of what you did.

AND

Incorporates all the webtools of DJ Intelligence WITHIN it's own framework of DJEP. No need to go anywhere else. Need to look at their songlist... all done thru DJEPs own tools.

To me at least DJI is a great tool, but only does half the job of DJEP (and gigbuilder).

AlbanyAMS:

You do not need to double enter events/client...DJEP is designed as an all-in-one solution. Let's schedule a telephone walk-through for you. Email me at [email protected] and we'll get you up to speed.

Troy, have you changed anything since we last spoke?

My things I like about DJI + Webmin are that you can simply send a client to your site, they can book, pay via credit card, print out a contract, request their music, fill out their planning forms, and basically do everything on their own without any interaction from me.

It seemed as though you had to do a lot more by hand with DJEP.. I hear a lot of good things from single op guys, but I could not run my high volume shop if i had to manually send contracts and all that to customers.

much of my success has to do with the fact that I close them, and they have a contract in their hand and payment made by the end of the 1st contact call.

Have you added automatic contract generation, where a customer can book, pay, and print out their own contract all in one quick transaction?

Thanks!

DJ Intelligence Support and DJEP.

Wow!! Here it is at 6:56 pm EST. annd I have a bunch of ??s for DJI. Apparently these guys don't sleep or go home. The support has been beyond what I expected.

Thank you DJI...

In the same regards, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention I did speak to Troy from DJEP. He too has gone beyond the call of duty and with a newborn baby! Congratulations!!

Did you figure out what you were missing per Troys conversation while holding his brand new baby?:tricool:
Thanks Steve!

I'm not committed with DJEP. I'm month to month. We'll see what happens.

There's gotta be something I'm missing!

Steve: That is something that we could certainly take a look at implementing. Most of our users so far have preferred to manually oversee pricing and tailor it to the individual.

DJI - DJ Event Planner...

Does any of these companies go to the conventions? I found a couple of things that DJI doesn't provided and I need.

1) When a client calls back to re-book, I'd like to be able to go back and check on thier past status.

2) Also, financial status. How much we made this month or YTD.

I do like the DJI, but finding they do not provide this. I need a company that does.

Both features you want can be found when using DJI + webmin.

DJEP provides online planning, client contact tracking, financial reports, and more...all integrated into one solution.

We will be an exhibitor at this year's DJ Convention in Las Vegas. Look for us in Capri 104, right across from the exhibit hall. Several staff members will be available for one-to-one demonstrations.

I will also be doing a 101 type seminar for anyone new to the software. Here's a link to the seminar schedule:

Hope that helps!

While we do have subscriptions that start at $10 a month, we also have some users that see value in the $50 a month option.

If the software helps you get one more customer every other year, it will pay for itself. That seems like a pretty good return on investment to me.
