Cripes! I'm still a kid living with mom and dad, what the freak you expect!
:sqlaugh::sqlaugh::sqlaugh::sqlaugh::sqlaugh::sqlaugh:

LOL! *Chucklin*

I think I should get something done tonight...hmmm...not sure what to do yet.

But going back to the 56's...sound active does go very wild. I was real disappointed. They are bright as heck..but too wild.

If I put them on a light controller, it would be a lot better.

Yes it is. Its the crappy mics (among other things) they use in those units. If you think those are bright you should check out some of those other units.

I've got the 64's Pros...and I love them.

The 56's were just awful. Again if possible....a lighting controller would work for them hyperactive 56's.

Yeah, the Weidamarks are even brighter than the 64's (and WAY less jumpy than the 56's) and the 1W Color Commands even blow those away.

Isn't the Rain pretty much the same as the Colorwash 196?

When you setup sound activation within the unit you use the dip switches and there is a settings for slow to fast reaction (chase times).

The rain has got a sensitivity control slow to fast.

Sometimes when you adjust from fast to slow it works, then all of a sudden the light goes wild.

It's awful.

Would be cool if it could be controlled to a better setting to slow em down. Maybe someone else could chime in.

At low volume they work fine in sound active.... but turn the music up enough and they go wild.... even with the sensitivity set to it's lowest....

I will use mine under DMX control.... which just means I have to spend time programing the chases I want. Which will in reallity give me much more than the pre-programed chase gives which was nothing more than a simple color change where all the lights changed in unison with the master not reall much of a color chase if you ask me.

If color chases are what you want in a standalone unit I'd go with the 4-bar or a color strip instead.

How are you running the sound trigger into Freestyler?

I wish someone would provide clear instructions...this is what's preventing me from going to Free Styler. I want sound activation....

Ah, I think I figured it out in ShowXpress! yo:Annoyed:

This will be very easy when I add my second lappy to run lights. I'll utilize my zone out from my mixer, into my mic jack.

Then, you create your chase scenes within ShowXpress and set the button to a speed button and select auto bpm, then the song playing sets the trigger for the chase!
