I'm not convinced I'm going to make a change... but I've been considering my speaker configuration.
There are certain events where I want a little more headroom than what my Evox-12s can deliver. They're great most of the time, but while they still aren't very old I feel like my resale value on them would be pretty good.
If you were building a new system... looking at the new RCF TT808 vs. the BassBoss BB15 subs. Which would you choose?
The 808s have two 8 inch drivers, and supposedly go as low as the BB15s do. But the 2400 watt RMS amp in the BassBoss stuff is a beast, and I just feel like you're ultimately going to move more air in low frequencies with a 15 inch driver.
The money is comparable on each. The weight of the RCFs is waaaay lower at 44 pounds vs. 70.
The video Jason Jani just put out where he thinks the optimal rig is 2 of the 808s on each side scared me quite a bit.
Am I missing something on the 808s? Has anyone heard both of these speakers at this point?
