I don't get it...the guy sets up his gear beside his truck

Dean

The Perfect Outdoors DJ! He does not get "put in a corner"! :sqwink:

Houston!
Good topic...
I'm all for innovation and taking it to another level.
Wish I could do it at my weddings... now that I'm buying myself Element...
My light show would be much better :yoHot: and DMX but I like those new RCF speakers with the Hammer. I guess his parents are loaded:sqlaugh:

you'd better live in California or somewhere out West
otherwise you'd only be able to use it a few months of the year

but it IS a very cool idea!

I am probably alone...and I am not trying to be negative.

but that thing is pretty silly......gaudy, ugly (my personal opinion), and will be worn out in a short time.

I will keep my regular old Ford pickup, and fairly standard dj/pa setup.....which is much more usable, and probably sounds and looks better!

i respect your opinion but in the city stuff like this has been going on for a while.there are businesses which do strickly sound system installs and business in brisk.i happen to pass by 2 places each day after work and each day there are vehicles lined up to have installations done.they have competitions and various events at times in this city, you would be amazed at the crowds which flock this kind of mobile entertainment.

The First Guy probably had many Gigs at Hummer Dealerships on Saturdays. Not to mention, Picnics, Beach Parties etc. Now that they are no longer going to produce Hummers.......who knows. The Chap may switch to another kind of SUV. In that field/class of DJs, therewon't be much competition as in the regular ones.

YEP!
first thing I noticed!

(but then again, I'm an announcer guy and I notice things like that)
:sqcool:

A friend of mine makes the drops. The two guys are both his clients.

Hmmm, let's think about this for a minute...

If you have some decent wireless speakers, wireless cameras to monitor the dance floor, and a texting system for requests, you could do this from a van or truck outside the venue. Unless you're running lights, this would be an easy set up.

OK, I'm getting too lazy. :sqlaugh:

Yeah it can be seen as tacky but in our day and age a lot of the modern DJ image consists of myspace.com/DJknucklehead complete with baggy clothes, grill, face tattoo, dancing hoochies, etc...so tacky/gangsta to some is cool to others.

Watch out for the new show "Pimp my DJ setup" coming to a TV near you.

Hahaha
