Did you hear the great news. The Yankees lost. They got shut out! Oh happy day, HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those bleeps season is OVER! THE YANKEES LOSE!!!!!!!!!! MY PRAYERS GOT ANSWERED. What excuse are they going to make up for them this year because they didn't win the World Series? They just weren't good enough. Now can we move on with life?
Why not spend your energy praying for real issues like world peace!!!??
In all the years I played sports, I can't remember even one time praying to God for our team to win or the other to lose. Just wouldn't be right asking God to choose sides, when there were believers on both teams. What I prayed for was protection from injury, and the strength to play my best. Maybe Mix could pray for a healthy dose of sportsmanship![emoji1]

I'm not sure it was your prayers that did it. Everyone knows God hasn't liked the Yankees for some time, which is understandable

He didn't play long. The media crucified him. Said he had a God complex.
Unless you root for LA or Texas, the Yankees still did FAR better than your team did, without praying to God and with a cast of players that weren't supposed to do squat this year and made the AL Championship Series.
With all that in consideration I'm surprised they dumped Girardi
Many of us around here are surprised too ... he did a very good job overall with what he had. Yea, there were a few miscues in the playoffs, but he got them there. I can only assume they are looking for a manager who can handle the amount of youth they have.
