Mix, we paid cash..... 50% up front, 25% 1 week before, 25% day of, if I remember right, but it was 15 years ago.

I told my wife that if she wanted that many people ( I LITERALLY wanted to invite less than 30 people, but she had a fit about the un-eveness ( sp? ) that would create ), that if she wanted so many people, we had to pay cash because I wasn't starting our like together in debt. So we sold some stocks and used the profits to pay for the wedding. In the end, I had about 75 of the 227 guests. And really, I would have been fine if there were only about 20 people there. I would have been happy at a fire hall, beef and beer style. But my wife is the exact opposite of me in that regard; she likes to do things all expensive and showy.

Thanks for the reply and that was my point. It wasn't paid all at once. You had to spread things out over time. At any rate no matter where you had it the bill had to get paid to have it there. Too bad you had to sell some stock to get it done. You sure that wasn't live stock? LOL. (That joke was meant for Soft Jock Rick).

I just don't have the time to read 8 more paragraphs on a dead issue.
Can we move on to a different subject?
