My but is DRAGGING (even after a 6-hour nap this evening) but it was a great weekend. The wedding we did on Saturday was off the chain great. Cold sparks killed it (again) and the crowd was full of party people. It was one of those weddings that reminds you of everything good about this business.

Today was a Pink Bride bridal show. I walked away with 12-15 very solid leads. I took a bit different approach. I hired an attractive 30-year old female. She works events with me as a day of Coordinator. Below is a pic, taken before the show started. Nothing special, but the vertical banner and the video playing caught a lot of eyes. My partner would make the first greeting and hand them a brochure. As she got them warmed up, I stepped in to make the actual pitch. I learned a big lesson today. A 60 year-old dude is not the first contact point for a 20-something bride. Hopefully, I'll be able to convert a few of these into bookings. The next show is in May and I'm planning to go ahead and book my booth this week. May also order another vertical banner.

Why is your banner black and blue? Redo the entire design with a professional designer…preferably female designed. You should have it be much more attractive and create instant attention as it’s the only thing visible from a distance and creates your first impression.

When I did bridal shows this was my banner back in 2017 that was designed by professional designers who specialized in the wedding industry. I personally would’ve not had me in there but they suggested I do so as I’m the face of my company and it creates a connection to the bride as to who her dj is. Their input was priceless. But more importantly the wedding image I used of the couple conveys emotions of excitement and elegance.

Got my hopes up. I thought you were saying there was pic of the attractive female.

Meet Dana. She's 30, and the daughter of my best friend from high school. This is one more sharp kid and I'm delighted whenever she can be a part of my operation.
