Got (yet another) called today. Girls starts the same old, tired lines so I finally stopped her, "Ma'am, I've advertised with both TK and WW before. How much?" She start stammering around, doesn't want to commit. Tells me, "Um, er, um, well, it can be anywhere between $500 and $2000 per month." (this is for a venue). I just laughed and told her "You guys are old news. Bye."

They must be getting desperate trying to find new "customers" to buy in. They have called me 3 Times. Called on Friday, Called yesterday around 4 pm then called today. I find it perplexing that they have DJ companies that have been paying into them every year since 2009. I don't get why these individuals choose to dish out thousands a year for a featured profile when they are already established and have hundreds/1000+ reviews. Why continue to pay? Shouldn't they have plenty of WOM and Referral business at this point?

You can advertise on FB and have a website built for that much and to pay for the hosting won't cost that much each month. She was looking to get her mortgage paid each month. All I can say is just plain CRAZY!

So how is your FB page & website coming along Adrian? Have you bought a Facebook ad ?

As I wind down the business Weddingwire / The Knot have been of the table for the last four years. I initially started used wedding when the cost was more affordable & wasn't as crowded at the top of the area reflecting the lower cost. I get the same amount of referrals with my free listing as for the paid listing.
Last time I spoke with sales rep they no longer offered a paid in full up front discount. That put the nail in the coffin for me.
