what setting for Bose

Tone match setting...I usually keep it on 58. Don't use the model 1's much any more, but that is what we do when we do use them.

I have mine at 58. So I should try the 00?

So all that fuss about presets and now the reccomended setting is none!

It's all a matter of taste and the desired bass response....

Preset 00 is basically a flat EQ and supposedly produces the music exactly as it was recorded without adding any EQ magic....

Preset 58 is a bass boosting setting designed for DJ's who desired more bass than what is apparently available in the original recorded music.... ie more thump....

When I setup my system these days with all 4 bass bins centered and next to each other I use Preset 00 as I have found 58 to be too boomy for most venues I play in with that configuration.

When I setup with my sticks separated and two bass bins next to each stick I set to Preset 58 because I loose the coupling effect when they are all together as in the first configuration...

This is all personal preference and I keep Channel one on Preset 58 and Channel two on Preset 00 so that I can switch between the two by simply moving my XLR from one input to the other.

Keep in mind my goal is not a "Club Sound" if I wanted a Club Sound I would have bought EV ZX5's and a couple of 18" subs...

When I had mine there was no preset 58!
