According to some at my events...

Something we can dance to

Something other than this crap.

Something good...

So... I guess I should play more Something!

Maybe being so close to Canada, makes us think alike??
I play many of the same songs on your mix list.(except "Rasputin")

Cecilia...All The time! (Ladies love it!)
Followed by....
Hang On Sloopy..(the mccoys)...Try it you'll see

I think? You're flattering me. This list represents about ten years of trial and error.

HANG ON SLOOPY, eh? I think I'll try it.

mmmmmm..... You south of the border really need to find a copy, of a sample of Rasputin.. give it a listen

HOWEVER, here in Canada, at a typical wedding.... after playing music for 6-7-8-9 hours, and the guests drinking for most of that our parties tend to get a bit WILD! to say the least. Trust me here... 82rpm hip hop just isn’t going to cut it! Get some good fast, wild dance tuned cued up for a rip roaring time!

While your at it.... try some of these:

Spirit of the west - Home For a Rest
CHORUS:
You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best
I've been gone for a week
I've been drunk since I left
And these so-called vacations
Will soon be my death
I'm so sick from the drink
I need home for a rest
Take me home....
..... gots love a song that starts off like that!

Another good Celtic song that works with the above:

Great Big Sea - Run Runaway
This is a remake of the 80s Slade piece... God I love this one!

Sweet - ballroom blitz...... :sqwink: feet tired yet????

Have I mentioned I really don’t play too many slow songs??? :sqlaugh:

Men Without Hats - Safety Dance
James - Laid
Violent Femmes - Blister In The Sun

Rasputin? You've got to be kidding! (actually, I've never heard it!)

Ah.... my point is proven! Don isn't far from Philly... and like me, says he has never heard of it! WooHoo! I'm not nuts! :sqerr:

Sinks like an anchor whenever I play it... :sqfrown: And I love that song!

What songs should we play more often?

Anything with a cowbell in it.
"Guess what! I got a fever, and the only prescription... is more cowbell!"
