Damn, and here I felt slighted...
Just outta curiosity Rob, what do you have to do with the development of certain products, such as AutOKdj, Power CDG Burner, KJamp, KJPro Demo?
This wouldn't be a "call to action", would it...?
I have absolutely nothing to do with the development or sale of any of those....
I do talk on a regular basis with the brain child of AutOKdj.... but just to report bugs and or feature requests... I get nothing out of it.
As an aside.... if I ever came accross a product that was better than... oh I don't know... AutOKdj... I'd be all over it.... and just as adimit about the new product.
I have nothing to gain by telling folks what products I think are steller and work very well... except the satisfaction of another user finding out it works well for them too.
I paid for Rockit just for the record cause Ricks program is one of the most efficient I have experienced including MM, VDJ,Red,Traktor etc. I choose it over Winamp and many of the freebie hand out hacks Rick talks about. Rob he wasnt saying you hacked anything. The programs hack to survive.Is that a close observation Rick?
Yup all us DJ are rich dont ya know it? Lol but we didnt start on this treck when we were 50 either. This seems to be the obstacle you are fighting the most the fast race to the top.It can break you if you dont have much time to get there.

As an Aside: If I ever came accross something better... I'd drop all the others in a heart beat and start beating that new tight assed drum....
To be fair... I do like Rockit.... just so you know.
I wish..... it's not like I bought it all at once... I have been at this a few years now.... LOL

BTW I also own OtsDJ Boombox.... that was my first taste of a professional DJ Software.
But wait NEWSFLASH AUTOKDJ is free. Sure puts the wrench in a conspiracy. A free product couldnt afford to sponsor for real dollars.

But, God's honest truth is I have and do use all of the programs I have mentioned.... I don't talk ill of ones I haven't used... or at least tried. I give 100% honest opinion of this stuff.

The Mother server is coming online this month -- this should be fun.
Any dupes get shut down (along with the originating user that shared their codes), and maybe a HDD format or two, for S & G
I've been using Winamp for quite a long time now and as JT said, I too have a 5 yr old Toshiba Satellite L10-101 and Winamp has never crashed or gone zonkers ever. In fact it's saved on one occassion when my VDJ suddenly didnt display the track..(though i got it fixed in some time) but as far as i know i've tried other players too, like musicmatch ,etc..but though they seem flashy..its got way too much of buttons n stuff and makes it all the more complicated. Winamp's simple,sturdy and reliable. Dont know much about the codec issue but so far so good. And yeah like all the others have been saying, you could customize winamp to be associated with certain files while you install it. Dont know if u could do it after..So as far as my vote is concerned..its for Winamp!
