We're increasing our large event lighting show primarily aimed at the homecomings and proms we dj. There are so many different moving heads from so many different companies. What do you all use/recommend???? I'm looking for something mid-level price wise, not cheap..but not $3,000 each either. We'll be picking up 4 of them. Thanks for the help!

:sqerr:My Favorite Moving Head.......if I were to say anymore I will be banned for life and probably shot, ....twice! :sqlaugh:

I recently hung a pair of Chauvet's Q-Spot 150 LED's in a theatre. I wasn't expecting much brightness wise. Well, I was wrong, they were very bright, on the order of a fixture lamped with a HTI150.

I'm looking forward to the Q-Spot 260 LED which on paper has 5 times the output.

Not if I want my Subs... :)

You can afford both. Just sweet talk Ben a little bit. How do you think I got my setup? :sqlaugh:

Nah, if you have goals in place then go straight for them. Don't deviate your self. I had a good chunk saved up for these moving heads then my Buddy calls me and said his Wireless Mic took a crap. Guess who was on the phone with me the next minute? :sqwink: (It actually wasn't Ben this time, I think he is starting to screen my phone calls, He let poor ole' Sam answer and have to put up with me)

Looking at the Intimidator Spot XYZ. What a cool light! May grab 2 to replace my 4 scanners.

I have 4 ADJ Accu Spot 300's that I love. Using only 3.6 amps per light and a high discharge 250w bulb you get the best of both worlds. Replaceable gobos as well.

The Q-Spot 260's will only draw around .1 amps, allow for hard or soft edges and has replaceable gobos as well. Oh, and no expensive lamp replacement every 2000 hours.

Those are a few of the points that basically sold me on them. I can run all my sound and lighting on 1 circuit with them. Single extension cord, Less setup time, No hunting down an additional circuit to plug into.
