Thanks for all of the input, now another question, has anyone used or have opinions on the American Dj Xmove LED moving Heads??? I've been doing a lot of research and i'm thinking about pickin up 4 of them, 2 big positives for me are the compact size of them and the light weight....What do ya think?

Email Ben about them. He has a couple things to say, Some positive and some negative. After talking to him I choose to get the Q-Spots.

I have four do a YouTube search for "xmove" "JJDJ entertainment"

The Q 260 is the bomb. Outstanding gobos, motorized focus, 60 watt LED. I just refit my lightshow with 4 of these. Incredible!

Thanks for the reply Steve. I bought the Chauvet Show Xpress X-Factor, but have been waiting for months for it to arrive. I'm going to cancel that order, as I just got a hold of an Enttec Open DMX USB, and tried it out with Freestyler software. The response is great! Now, dmx software is completely new to me, so I was just looking for the software with the smallest learning curve. Not sure if Freestyler is the answer, but I'm going to keep researching to find the best fit.

Do they even make the Xfactor anymore? I just ordered the showexpress 512 box

I am using the American DJ MY DMX program. It works very well for me!

Steve, I'm chomping at the bit on these but my immediate needs are for a decent gobo. Could I use 1 of these as a gobo (monogram on the dance floor or wall-1 letter) until I can afford more of them?

Also, how easy/difficult is the programming?

MyDMX is very user friendly, download the software for free and play with it. You dont need the actual controller to use the software

I am considering getting two of the Qspot 260s as my primary medium/large lightshow. I currently have Martin mx4s with a ADJ colorstrips LEDs. I still have 2 of my cheaper lights that I can also use, Chauvet Mushroom led and Élan led. Should I sell my scanners and just use the 260s?

Yes, they have quick change slot & lock gobos. You can use an inexpensive stock single letter monogram or have a nice custom gobo made of their full names. Buy one now then add more later.

You can place a custom gobo in one of the 7 slots that designed to be inter-changeable. You can still alternate between the Custom and the standard gobos in the fixture, so, the monogram need not be dedicated as a monogram for an entire event if you so wish.

As for programing, the fixture has the ability to create one custom program to use WITHOUT a controller, but i find that difficult to manipulate, and use MY DMX software and dongle to control my fixtures.
