So your saying in Lousy Anna they were hits?

In Cali, Oregon, Washington and Vegas and even Canada where he is from, Wild Horses made a mild rumble in the market and Black Cars was one which I even played in Okinawa.

One fan in SoLA respectfully disagrees with tagging Gino as a One Hit Wonder.

Have you ever seen him live? Lately?

hey Im not sayting it was the only song I liked but Im not the populace which in most areas I have been might not even know his name or Black Cars.

What are you tawkin bout?

Every DWI suspect that is rescued from a vehicle found in a drainage ditch or some other unusual offroad parking spot claims to have been run off the road by a Black Car.
:sqwink:

P.S. HAve you ever seen Gino live?

P.S.S. Nightwalker is on my D.I.D list.

never seen a poster or ad of him performing anywhere near me.
Why bring up restraining orders in here?:sqwink:

If you get a chance, and you enjoy his music, hook yourself up with some tkts. Believe me Gino drops real music, not the noise that passes nowadays...

Starland Vocal's Afternoon Delight brings back great memories of a week in the mountains where I met a lovely young lass - and the first...time...was in the afternoon. My #1. Also:

Zager & Evans - In The Year 2525

Actually a 1 hit wonder, but I liked the "B" side of this 45 as well:

Every Mother's Son- Come On Down ( To My Boat)

The "B" side - not a hit- Come Put Your Mind At Ease

Daniel Boone - Beautiful Sunday

Vanity Fare - Hitchin' A Ride

Gilbert O'Sullivan - Alone Again Naturally

Yes, I admit it- I like Bubble Gum

One of my best memories is the following. My very first public performance as a solo- in the school choir. I could sing, and my voice changed early so it was up to me: Sgt. Barry Saddler - The Ballad Of The Green Berets

Gilbert O'Sullivan Also had a GREAT song called "Get Down"

Mr. Ball,
you always amaze me with your taste in fine music!
I imagined myself being in this band in the 70's!
I would love to have all those amps back then! what is great about this video is that they are not lip syncing like most did back then on TV. I play timbales, congas, drums, keyboard and bass and REALLY love watching all thos musicians. I was raised on SALSA and latin rock like them. THANK YOU SO Much for posting this video!

Some of my favorite OHW's:

Paul Nicholas - Heaven On the 7th Floor
Defranco Family - Heartbeat, It's a Love Beat
(I think They had a hit with Abracadabra too. Not sure)
Fire -The Crazy World of Arthur Brown
Innagodadavida - Iron Butterfly
Tierra - Together (former band members of El Chicano)
El Chicano - Tell Her She's Lovey
Blue Swede - Hooked On a Feeling
Billy Thorpe - Children Of The Sun
Steam - Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye
(or something like that)
Andrea True Connection - More, More, More

I second Heartbeat.

Man, that joint conjures up images buried way back. Summer of '74, my young eyes poppin' at the site of hotties in less close than I'd ever imagined should, would, or could be allowed outdoors.

Anyone else swim at a club/pool with a group of 17+s with heat shaped cutout on their bikini bottoms? (Scandalous!)

One Fine Morning - Lighthouse (I didn't know these guys were Canadian.)

YouTube - One Fine Morning-Lighthouse (STEREO)

Another horn driven song...

Vehicle - Ides of March

Okay, Okay, I just had to reply here again.. If there were a thanks button to push repeatedly, I would have.
These are just great songs. The best. I just cannot stop listening to them. Horn rock is truly one of my favorites and my roots. T.O.P., Chicago, BS&T, etc. This is a great reminder of how much I really love a brass section with funk guitar, Bass, and a Hammond B-3! (with a rotating Leslie, of course)

one hit wonders

The Georgia Satellites "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" (one of my Favs)

Paperboy "The Ditty"

Faith No More "Epic"

Marcy Playground "Sex an Candy"

Crazytown "Butterfly"
