This was not easy for me....

Male: Robert Plant in his prime, now, not so much... LOL

Female: I got nuthin'.... Sure there were many really good female rock singers, but I don't consider any of them heads and shoulders above the rest. If she was a little more "rock", I might start giving props to Pink.

I really enjoyed Paul with Queen. I have the Cd and the DVD. BTW, my uncle used to be head of security for Bad Company in the 70's.

I've met The Voice kid. Fleeting moment, but I'll never forget it...

God only makes a couple of those each century -- and He had the coolness to mate him with one of the best guitar players, and bands that exist :sqcool:

If we are talking just vocal ability, my choices:

Geoff Tate of Queensryche

Ann Wilson of Heart

good thread...hmmmm....lots to choose from....

Gals....Amy Lee (Evanescence)....Lzzy Hale (Halestorm)....of course the Wilson sisters...maybe Janis......love Etta James, Whitney (not really rock)....but gotta agree with Pat Benatar, by a long shot, as my favorite.

Guys.....Brent Smith (Shinedown)....Steve Perry....Robert Plant....Sammy Hagar....Steven Tyler....Paul Rodgers.....Freddie Mercury.....Ozzy......Joe Elliott....John Waite...ummm....all good shoices. Ok, for a new one, I will say Sebastian Bach!

Sebastion and Freddie in the same post... :sqerr: :sqeek: :sqlaugh:

J/K, I met Sebastion when he was hanging with my bud Robbie one day at Gully's (or maybe it was in Joisey -- my mind's flaky at the moment -- too much rum) -- seemed like a cool dude, and I was busting on them about how I hated their music since I got older... :D

Probably should have stayed in the bands -- my friends are all richer than me now... :sqerr:

Although I guess technically pop Elton John male and Marie McKee of Lone Justice
