Be proud a dj captivates an audience that big!

I appreciate the fact that he's working the crowd, and playing the ego card -- but I honestly got nothing out of it Paul.

The music sucked, and all he was doing was waving his hands a lot.

Hell, I'm half Italian -- I'll wave my hands all night for free beer :D

The mass crowd proves ones opinion to the contrary holds very little water.Truth in numbers. Then again Im not even much of a Stones fan though the record sales and crowds gained trump my opinion.

The dj is gaining momentum in the large live shows industry. Orlando Calling a huge outdoor festival no djs brought in only half expected with some pretty big names where a show called Earthdance was to capacity all djs!

Rick you'll have to experience one of these shows to really get the full essence of a dance festival! This Summer you'll have the opportunity to check out the east coast's best, the Ultra Music Festival Miami:

What these shows are doing will trickle down to the Mobile dj.

Paul
Most Mobile DJs don't have that kind of aspiration. They are forever in a quest to lighten their load and shorten their speaker cables. LOL

I don't see any ego on the part of the DJ portrayed, just confidence in his accomplishment. He is laughing all the way to the bank. Lemme see the wannabees try to copy that for free!

I disagree. It depends on your market. We do a lot of High School Homecomings and Proms and this has already affected them. They want this, they want to fist pump, They want Hardstyle and Dubstep, and these shows are a large part of that. They love Deadmau5, Skrillex, David Guetta, Tiesto, and they really get into it. I definitely see the club/younger crowds migrating to this crowd, dance/trance mentality.

What exactly would that accomplishment be...?

He appears to like to jump up and down a lot, and wave his hands -- do they have a degree for that?

The more important question, I think -- is would you go pay to see him wave his arms around?

This guy isn't just playing others tracks, he wrote and produced these tracks. He is an artist as well as a DJ. The atmostphere at these events is what the people pay for. He is just part of that atmosphere. Granted , i'm not the biggest fan and no i would definitely not pay to see it. But i can definitely see how big this trend is getting and i can respect the creativity of these guys

yup! and brides and grooms who met at these type of shows are gonna want it too.

I would and have. So what does this answer to the important question mean? It is a great party! I had the best time I have ever had dancing, fist pumping and enjoying young boobs bouncing! sh t man I didn't feel old!

I don't understand with what you are disagreeing! I am all in favor with what Paul and you are stating.
A DJ wanting to do what you stated above is a cut above the rest. In post #9 I was being a bit sarcastic. :triwink:

I will pay to see him. He has transformed himself from DJ to Artist, Performer and Entertainer. Its all in the money man. He is thinking big. Why do a lousy Wedding for a few bucks having to deal with Bossy Brides and MOBs when one can command a whole show and take home beaucoup $$$$$$$$.

Well, I did give him kudos for playing the game well -- but let's face it, it's just a mindless tribal beat he's doing -- there's no great talent involved -- just sampling. Any of us could do the same thing in our sleep.

Do we want our future generations gyrating to that crap, or do we want them listen to lyrics, read books, and learn?

I understand it's a heavy, deep thought I'm putting out -- but I also understand, that the mindless crap these folks are doing, can hurt our society, and turn it into a bunch of drum beating idiots...

Call me old fashioned, but I don't believe we should be promoting that...

For Cripes sake Rick, lighten up! It is only entertainment not a learning experience. There is more fiction crap on TV where people get wrong information. The schools and parents job is to teach the children. Most of the people who attend these shows should be old enough to have some level of intelligence to determine for themselves that this is just for entertainment.

I'm up for fair debate on this issue :)

Would you want your kids listening to that...?
I don't want them texting either, a phone call is more communicative but they text anyway. There is a lot of Hip Hop and Rap that I don't like but if you can't beat them, join them! :triwink:
