All I need to purchase is a stage box, mics, a few wedges, and wiring for all of that. Then I have the equipment to do bands for small-medium sized rooms.

@STLRiverCityDJ I actually did more bands with my smaller rack-mountable 16 channel mixers than I did with my 24 channel ones (Soundcraft FX16, Presonus 16.4.2).. Even did a 5 piece band with singers on my A&H ZED12FX this past Xmas season, though I needed to use my Rane MLM42 to accommodate all the mics (fed into a A&H channel strip).

I've done the cascading mixer thing before. That got too confusing for me.

Wasn't ideal, but since I got rid of the larger mixers, it was my only option .. It worked fine.
