my brother from India it rocks. I would brand it and use the colors though in connection with your website. Same colors. Branding and keeping all the same A-Z is essential.

Thanks JT :) i did think of it...but since i'd be handing over the card to dance schools n college kids n hangouts , i thought it'd be better if i made it a bit colorful..just to get their attention and at the same time give them the feeling of professionalism. :) Let my card do all the talkin! ;)

Are you utilizing the back of the card?

It would free up some room on the front and make the smaller text easier to read.

Just a thought.

I like the one with the border better, the black kinda makes a nice frame on it.

Just a question (I don't want to start a fight, just curious about other places and how they do things), where you're at, is there that big of a difference between digital DJs and those who use physical media?

J Mac, I think Shaun is from India.

Dont know how it works there either but in the Philippines (neighboring Asian country to India) they just like using BIG words that really dont mean squat. Like DIGITAL- its just conjures an image of Hi Techness even though the extent of Digitalness is an MP3 file burned to a CD. A bit off a stretch but still has some truth in it I guess. So it doesnt really mean that software is being used to mix. Just my experience of how it works in the Philippines.

Sorry for the OT Shaun. Nice Card BTW.

well you dont want a client to say where are your Technics? I figure it lets them know immediately that either you are running software based MP3 files or CDs you are in fact using Digital media.

No rox...i'm not using the back of the card...and thats the reason I piled up the necessary info in the front. And thanks again! :)

Well thanks a lot for your honest information :) Anyway....here in India you have dj's who mostly spin only from CDJ's and some who use only laptops and some who use both and a very very very few select DJ's who use turntables. Well i dont use CDJ's or TT's..my platform's strictly confined to my laptop and controllers..and thats the reason i specify Digital Disc Jockey..dont want anyone to ask me questions when they book me. And regarding the hi-tech imagery thing..i dont know about it..but i do understand that even dj's who spin with TT's use Softwares to do their home/studio production..so i guess its time to start using the electric trains rather than chug along in a steam engine. But i have the greatest respect for Turntabulists...and i consider them as the 'real' dj's cos i've tried workin on TT's and i know how it feels. Cheers!

and by not using the back of the card, you leave a place for potential clients or venue managers to write notes, or a price quote, etc

Gee! didnt think of that! thanks for the info mac! :) appreciate it!

best to use the back of the card when quoting a price...

have an appointment card on the back or something

two lines appointment date:

cost for show:

who knows let your mind go wild

I can't read the DJ in DJ Shaun. I much prefer the DJ Shaun with the wings. The rest of the card is great.

"If someone's got a problem with my style, I don't give a damn! Cos' I'm DJ Shaun." I love that line from your site!

Well thanks a lot..let me see if i can do smthng bout it. Cos i kinda wanted to use a grafitti style font and among the rest, this was 'readable'!! lols.. I just wanted to take a break from the 'clean' n 'neat' kinda design approach that I always use. This is the first time i'm going with a more urban design module. Well will sure keep in mind what u said n work on it soon. :D

And yeah! I liked it too..but i dont have it in my new site. My wife said it sounded too rebellious and asked me if i was gonna make a crowd dance to my music or throw eggs at me!? :S She didnt want my daughter to be later influenced by the 'bad' elements in me!!! Hahahaha..Well i guess i'd put it back up again... (reason - by public demand!!!!) Tnx a ton bro!! :D
