For those that keep Hank Williams Jr's "Born To Boogie" in their mobile collection, there's a new version on his brand new "It's About Time" album of it along with Brantley Gilbert and Justin Moore.
It's pretty cool IMHO.
But some of them really are cowboys. Like Garth Brooks, there are a bunch of C&W stars who own ranches here in Oklahoma.[emoji4]If they all ditched the cowboy hats and the boots (none of them are cowboys these days) and quit trying to sound like they think they're supposed to .. the music would be pretty damn good.
Garth has worn baseball caps in performances ... and certainly doesn't try to fake the twang. But some of them really are cowboys. Like Garth Brooks, there are a bunch of C&W stars who own ranches here in Oklahoma.[emoji4]

Blake Shelton doesn't seem to wear them much .. and sings pretty normal southern. Johny Cash rarely wore them .. it's sort of like rappers who need to speak "urban" and wear jeans that are falling off .. doesn't make the music any better. That hats and boots go with the theme - No different than any other artist, like Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Jay Z, Lady Gaga and Ariana. Although I'm glad to say Gaga has been a bit more 'normal' now.
But he IS from right here in Yukon Oklahoma (where I live), and he is a cowboy (now)! [emoji4]Garth has worn baseball caps in performances ... and certainly doesn't try to fake the twang.
Are you kidding me???[emoji2] Are you forgetting he wore his cowboy hat on top of his MULLET!!! [emoji4] Oh... but he is also from Oklahoma and owns a ranch here.[emoji3]Blake Shelton doesn't seem to wear them much ...

Johnny Cash covered The Cure and Nine Inch Nails, among others... your usual cowboy fare...[emoji2]...Could you imagine Johnny Cash in low riding jeans, a hoodie, sunglasses and baseball hat...
Oh... so now you're a cowboy too all of a sudden??? [emoji3]BTW .. I have relatives in OK... I also was in our Senior Class play of Oklahoma .. so we have that connection as well ...
