I have a gig booked on Monday night...Literally the only Monday Night booking I have had in years, and now they are calling for 12 to 20 inches of snow and blizzard conditions in mid March. I'll believe it when I see it, but can Mother Nature give me a break. The one time I book a Monday night gig, and we are having a blizzard...go figure.

It's a Networking event for National Caterers Association. I guess I find out what's happening on Monday. I don't see the event happening if this snow storm hits up Monday afternoon, but who knows.

Just got home from my gig tonight...It's 3:12 am now that I just lost an hour of time...Literally...time just disappeared before my eyes! Gig went well...it was pretty easy, and to my surprise I was fed a New York Strip Dinner. I did not know they were feeding me (I don't ask for 4 hour parties, only weddings). Took me a while to get home. Some thugs got pit manuevered into the side of the road by the police in a police chase apparently no more than maybe 10 minutes before I was driving by on the BW Parkway down in PG county. 7 police cars. I could tell the car was pit maneuvered because it was turned around in the opposite direction. Not a bad traffic back up, but it amazes me how many cars are out on the road coming out of D.C. at 1:30/2 am. Once I get within a few miles of my house, I'm the only one on the road.

1 gig down, and 2 more to go as long as Monday night isn't cancelled. Driving in the snow is going to suck though if it's on. This weather is nuts. The trees just started blooming last week, and we just had 70 degrees a couple of days ago. Tonight it is 27 degrees out.

Oh the gig tonight went well, and my new Alto TS212S Sub sounds great! Punchier sound than my Alto TSUB12.
 
It seems to be a weird March whether wise. It's 13 degrees and sunny here this morning and it occurred to me that we're lucky that it isn't snowing. Looks like snow tonight and tomorrow, but we won't get what's in the forecast in the east.

That sub looks interesting - 45lbs.
 
On the news this morning they say chicago will get 1" of snow..their first amount that night since DECEMBER!

They weathermen here (pgh pa) aren't saying how much yet, late monday night into tuesday for us.

And the eastern searboard is gonna get buried.

it's in the low teens here yesterday and this morning..wednesday was 64. Cold for the next week - mid winter weather, not really March weather, but then feb was more like late march or april for the most of it.

I hate march - it promises spring weather but is more winter than winter.
 
I've got to fly through it .. I leave (hopefully) Tuesday morning at 6AM from Hartford to Philly .. then onto Vegas. American emailed me to change my original flight (Wednesday morning) and this was the only option I had. Not supposed to start snowing in Hartford until 3AM Tuesday, so I'm probably OK to leave .. BUT .. either I might get stuck in Philly .. or .. Philly is already closed at that point and I can't leave ... going to be a long trip.

Does the hold overs effect your work in Vegas greatly? Or are you going for leisure?
 
As of this morning according to NBC, They are showing that the Snow will now start a bit later, like around 11 p.m. here in Baltimore tomorrow night. The big snow fall will be between 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, and 5 p.m. on Tuesday. So if this is true, my Monday night gig should not be effected as it is suppose to end at 8 p.m. I guess my DJ equipment will stay in my SUV for a few days, or maybe all week since I have a gig on the 18th. I can't get into my Storage unit Monday night as the gates lock at 9.

They are calling for 6 to 10 inches according to NBC. Another weather forecaster who is popular on Facebook says 8 inches with pockets of 10 to 12, but could potentially go into a 15 to 20 inch blizzard if the right conditions are present.

I don't think we will see 15+ inches merely because they are calling for a high of 38 degrees on Tuesday, and a high of 40 on Wednesday. I would think there is some melting with temps well above freezing during the day.

Business .. I have to be there by Thursday morning, so as long as delays aren't horrible, I'm OK.

They dropped the snow totals for here from yesterday .. was 11-17", now 8-13", so the trend is good.

My daughter just arrived in DC for business. Her husband went along for leisure. Doesn't look like the weather there is going to be great for sightseeing, but when you go for business, you take what you get.[emoji4]

They just told us not to come in tomorrow.
Pretty rare for a radio station.
(the air staff is getting hotel rooms nearby)

March comes IN like a lion,
and goes OUT like a lamb.
This year, I think the lion eats the lamb.

Well, they cancelled my flights tomorrow morning from Hartford (all flights they said) .. and now I'm flying out at 5pm tomorrow from Providence, RI (2 hours away) .. only option .. nothing at NYC or Boston tomorrow or Wednesday. Not sure this flight will leave, but at least it hasn't cancelled yet.

So .. I have to drive 120 miles .. through .. the snowstorm to get to the airport in hopes I can still get out ... yayyy!!!

You will get there, and find out they are cancelling the flight. Might as well call out "Stuck at home...See you in Vegas next time!"

That ain't happening .. not for work. Stuck at home is a last resort, as I am presenting on Thursday.
